Hello everyone!! Been a while since I have checked in. Today we received the email from CIC requesting the passport!!!! By the looks of it they send out the visa in about 3 weeks to a month!!! I saw on the spread sheet. Is that a good guess!!? I knw we must send the rest f the fee now and the passport within 30 days. Then in how long must my husband arrive in Canada? He wants to work a little longer in Greece and save more before he gets there.

congratulations...i havent received yet the PPR and i dont know for experience but if we can see other cases to the spreadsheet it took 3 weeks to a month.and as i know you have to enter to canada within 4 months from the date visa is issued. maybe someone else that has received visa can help.

p.s : Could u pls post the email they sent to you for ppr? just to see how it is like also, i havent done the RPRF yet.

Our status is still 'In Process' and as you will see from the email below, officially a decision hasn't been made yet. Although it now says our medical results have been received.



Here is the email they sent:

Dear Sir/Madam,
This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada.

We are ready to undergo the final review of your application. Please mail us a printed copy of your entire passport.

We expect to receive the required documents within 30 days from the date of this e-mail. Your visas will be issued for entry to Canada before: xx-xx-xxxx

No changes or extension to your visa will be possible after it is issued.

If you wish to use a courier service for return of your passport or documentation, you must provide a pre-paid, pre-addressed courier airwaybill when you send your passport. We will advise you when your visa is ready so you can contact your courier with pick up instructions. You should record the airwaybill number that you provided for return delivery so that you may track the delivery yourself. We will not contact courier companies on your behalf.

If you do not include notification of a prepaid courier your passports/visas will automatically be returned to you by registered mail.

In our passport request, it said the day he must answer Canada by. Our date is 1 year after he did his medical. However, if your medical is close to expiring, they may extend it. But you really don't know.


When did you do your medical exam?

@cls ...thank you for posting it so as i can understand there is no need to check ECAS day by day bcs for sure we will receive PPR before DM.

Thank you!!! Well the letter is just as commonlawsponsor posted. My husbands meds were done at the end of January. I can not remember the exact date. Was before we sent in our application by a week or two.

Congratulations on the PPR and to everyone who got their visa or are close to it! I guess this means my husband will have to go in for an interview since we sent in our application the same day as yours. I'm not sure why since I didn't think we really had any red flags.
