Thanks everyone! It definitely is a huge stress but moves quickly if the interview is successful. Don't worry too much about eCAS, mine still says application received!!! Lol. All in Gods time I guess! P. S. COPRs are PRETTY!!! Wish I could show you the picture :) and yes CLS, seeing as I am already here, it's better to go home together. My parents even offered to drive us from Toronto to North Bay. Should be fun to see his reaction! So much to do when we get home.

Hi everyone....Just want to ask something...I m a little bit confused about paying the fee for The Right of Permanent Residence (RPRF-490$).We have just paid the fee for sponsorship (550$). Can we pay the fee before they ask for it and send the receipt to them while the app is in process? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)

I got gcms notes today and unfortunately I found out that they require an interview, I guess Iam going to receive an e mail from rome about the date and time

I believe it's because of the age difference, but I didn't find any relevant info on the notes about this. It's the only thing I can think of because everything else is fine. We've been living together for 20 months, both well educated, same religion, same country of origin, same language

@ panos What is the age difference btw you? :o hope everything will go fine ;) is your ecas updated "in process" ?

20+ years, we are both male! I can explain our age difference or any concern that a VO might have and I hope that everything will be fine, I have nothing to hide and I will try to be optimistic.
After all I can't really believe that they will refuse me just because of the age difference
Many congrats for your in process, it means an interview is waived. Mine is not in process as they are trying to arrange an interview.

@panos thank you :) it's a relief to know that the interview is waived... i think that u don't have to worry about age difference.i have heard many cases like that and everything will be clear for them during the interview...you only need to be honest about your relationship and everything will be fine ;) for sure your visa will be issued within a week after the interview :)

Wooohooo! What a day full of good news! Congrats Belle, I'm glad it worked out! Even though you had the added stress of the interview, there were maybe less days of overall worrying (I'm STILL 'In Process') and now you guys are all set and ready to go! So he is coming back to Canada with you - so quickly?

Congrats orchidea too! Updated!

@CLS...We havent heard from you lately...any change? you have been in process since the 2nd of July (8 weeks)... :o I think you are next for PPR :)

Nothing new to report....still in process. I keep thinking any day now, it has to be this week and then nothing.

We aren't in a rush, we are together, spending time with his family in Italy at the moment, have a 2 week trip coming up, a wedding to attend a month from now etc. so I don't mind waiting for another month or two. But I keep thinking - what if something is wrong?!? Why is it taking so long....

@ cls...the average from "in process" to "decision made" or ppr is 5 weeks as i have seen in other cases, but VO-s are unpredictable :o do u think that you have "red flags" in your application to cause the delay? at least you are together enjoying the vacations and everything else :) most of people here feel frustrated because they are far away from their loved ones (my case is one of them), i haven't seen my husband for 8 months and it is difficult to wait without being anxious all the time :( Enjoy your vacations :) Italy is a beautiful place!
