Interview scheduled for August 11th at 10 am. My flight departs at 2 pm that day. FML. Time to figure out a Plan B! If it all goes well it could be great. If not, it could be brutal. Wish me luck.

Oh no, you got an interview. With only 12 days notice? That's not very much.

But look at the bright side - menace had an interview, said they were really nice! and they let them know right after the interview and his visa was issued within a week or something!

Maybe can you change your flight? Come a day before the interview, then wait and maybe your husband can come back to Canada with you within a couple weeks?

You will be fine! You might even end up with your visa before us. I wouldn't be so positive about the interview but menace had really nothing bad to stay about it.

Nothing new for me. Based on past applicants, I think we will get a passport request before we see anything new on ECAS. Axxis was in process for just over 5 weeks. So I'm thinking we should hear something in the next couple weeks. I just hope they just ask for a photocopy of his passport because if we have to send his passport, I'm worried about the timing. We have a trip booked August 28th-September 11th.

Yes I know but with this process you just never know what they are questioning and why.

As for the passport if your partner is visa exempt it will only be a photocopy.

I will keep you updated. Anybody know a certified interpreter for English and Italian in Rome???

Since the case specific enquiry page is unavailable, I think you should inform them via this email romevisa@international.gc.ca It is for general inquiries, so don't forget to mention your UCI and immigration file number.
CLS I think you should also change your address online from cic website
