Cutiepie, when i told my husband, he said he was already informed and he had already checked with immigration. He was told if he sent the order my case would be postponed or just slower.. So
I was refused :(

Diana that is absolutely NOT true, requesting the notes doesn't have any effect on your app.

and as huch said, you count from September. i am confused, however, how did your app get to Warsaw instead of Moskow?
i'd send them a case specific enquiry if i were you.

Alex8881, i hope you look at this thread too, i can't reply to your message since your inbox is full.

but i can answer your question here :

the whole application consists of : 1. sponsor's docs ; 2. sponsored person's docs (principal applicant) ; 3. various proof of your relationship . we organized this in 3 different envelopes and the whole thingy in a box ;D
=> this whole package has to be sent to Mississauga together.

the Sponsor is the one that sends it from Canada. btw do NOT use Canada Post since (unfortunately) many users on this forum have lost their files due to their negligence :( use a private courier , even though it's a bit more expensive, better to be safe than sorry!

Cutiepie, I am happy that the papers r transferred, because warsaw is 8 months meanwhile Moscow is 18 :) There r problem between Russian and Canada, that is they changed the VO

No there is no problem between Russia and Canada..... if you look carefully they are processing Family Class sponsorships through Warsaw ONLY, every other type of Visa is processed through the Moscow VO. My guess would be to the processing time for FC sponsorships was taking too long at Moscow (18 months) and since the load at Warsaw (8 months) wasn't that high they re-directed all the FC sponsorships to Warsaw - it's logic.

I hope you realize that when the processing at Warsaw is "complete" you will have to send your physical passport to the nearest VO to you to get the actual visa and COPR - Warsaw doesn't do this unless your nearest VO is theirs.

Just putting some final touches on our application. My wife is Moldovan, we were married in Moldova last October.

In the Country Specific instructions guide it says the application requires 8 recent photos for each member of the family. My wife has no dependants, so does she just need to include photos of herself (x8)? Do I, as her Canadian husband and sponsor need to include similar style photos (x8) as well?

I assume this doesn't mean we have to include 8 photos for her mother, father, sister, brother, etc. (they are not being sponsored)? That would be quite a few photos!

Thanks.

Obi, just your wife has to submit photos ;) be also sure to write on the back of them .. if i remember correctly, write her name, DOB and date when the photo was taken.

After 17 months my nightmare is over. Visa on hand :D

congrats Svetlana :)

Congrats !!

Good for you, Svetlana! I hope you'll fly soon :-) Best of luck! I have to search more about your case, is that a normal timeline or you had something specific? It's really scary it took so long, but at least now you're good!
:-*

congrats Svetlana!!! ;D

Assessment of Sponsor 83 days. Great, before I applied it was 1 month, now it's almost 3 months.

Meanwhile they increased Bucharest time from 14 to 15 months, so I already have + 3 months of waiting.

For me this whole process is too depressing. I don't think any country in the world deserves such a long waiting.

deedee, i feel your pain. :( however, there are countries that wait more ... the VO in Singapore is at 30 months, Islamabad in Pakistan at 32 months... and they're scrutinized a lot more than us.. it can be a lot worse... i know it's not what you wanna hear. we have to stay strong. :)
can't believe they increased SA wiating time to almost 3 months.. jeez.. and i was complaining when i waited 2 mo0nths for mine back in may last year... :( last year in january it was 28 days..

deedee33..yes my case was a specific one..i had an exclusion order from Canada....thats why it took so long...the immigration waited for my exclusion to be up. Usually it takes around 9 months. Good luck! Be strong!

Well... it would be OK to take 9 months, but they just increased Bucharest time to 16 months. And SA is 90 days now. So.. really this is too depressing.

oh damn i think they changed it to 16 months not too long ago.. this is so depressing!!! SA takes ages and now Bucharest is at 16 months.. just fantastic. can't wait to be done with this ::)
