Diana, you're around the same wiating time with us. when did you send your app?

we sent it in may.. so we're waiting for almost 8 months too.. but if i count from August when the app arrived in Bucharest, it's just 5 months..

did you order your GCMS notes? they can offer some insight ;) the processing times depend a lot on your personal situation, whether you have a simple case or not..

They received my papers on May 1. My papers were in Moscow on June 24, then transferred to Warsaw on September 4. So it's 6 months my papaers r in VO.

You should count the timeline from june. But why did they send it to Warsaw? Moscow is 17 months and Warsaw is 8 months. Where is your file right now?

Diana you should join the thread for the Warsaw VO , this is for Bucharest VO which handles cases from Romania, Bulgaria and Moldova.. don't worry if your file is with Warsaw you'll be done soon according to the timeline posted on the site (8 months)

I hope so :) I need to be there asap.. if it's right that warsaw is less tan 8 months, means I will get a message soon.

Cutiepie how can I order my GCMS notes?

Diana, start here (i hope the link works): https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do?lang=en

the fee is 5$. you also need to submit IMM 5744: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5744E.pdf

you need to complete this form because ONLY a canadian citizen/PR can request them - so basically your sponsor will request this info on your behalf, the form needs to be completed by YOU the principal applicant showing your consent to disclose info on your immigration file.

it takes about 30 days to get them :)

Thank u cutiepie :) I will sent the info to my sponsor :D

Cutiepie, when i told my husband, he said he was already informed and he had already checked with immigration. He was told if he sent the order my case would be postponed or just slower.. So
I was refused :(

Diana if your VO office originally is Moscow then you should count 16 months..so you have nothing to worry about...but one question..why was it transferred to warsaw?

Dear Svetlana, I should count 8 months, not 16 or 18.. but the question is from june or september? Because even Russians cannot apply through Moscow.. They have problems with each other

Try to email the embassy in Warsaw....tell them that your file was transferred..and what timeline u shall expect. they will answer 100%

anyway if its from june or even september...if you dont have any issues ....you should here from them very soon....

Lol.

How long they take really is case dependent. It's impossible to say whether it will take 6 months or 8 months or more? If everything goes smooth and was done correctly on your end then it should be processed within the suggested time frame.

As for when you start counting how many months it's been.... well i think it's obvious. You start from when the VO that processes your file received it. Since Warsaw (which is the office that is processing your application) received your application on Sept 4, you start from Sept 4. The time that was spent in Moscow is at this point, irrelevant.
