Hi all

My application which I submitted in December 2014 was returned and it was stated I didn't include my IELTS result which I included. The IELTS result was sent along with the returned package to me. If I didnt include it, how would it have been in the returned package. I sent back my documents in January 2015, will the application be processed based on the formal process prior to January 1 2015.

It's a bit difficult to guess what may happen. Did you include a letter explaining that you did in fact include IELTS results with your original application package and that your application was incorrectly refused?

Were your IELTS results valid when received and did you take the General vs. Academic version?

I took the General Training exam. I had 7 in listening, 7 in writing, 7 in speaking and 9 in reading. I submitted my application with the original IELTS result. The application was returned based on the ground that I didn't include my IELTS result which was in the returned application. If the IELTS result wasn't submitted, how would it have been in the returned application. I have reposted the package and hope for the best. It is an error on the part of CIC.

Lol, you didn't answer Scylla's question which is the most vital tool to change your fate. Instead you are repeating your first post. Did you submit a cover letter explaining that your IELTS result was indeed submitted the first time but was overlooked?

Yes. I did include a cover letter stating the IELTS result was overlooked. I wrote the IELTS exam on the 20th of September 2014 which makes it still valid before I submitted my application.

Oh sorry this is serious, but i prayer that CIC will consider you base on the fact that the error was from them.

Did you submit the original IELTS results document or a photocopy?

Does anyone know if two Master`s and PhD studies provide how many points?. I have considerable amount of studies that I have done and I have ECA for all my education. I just wonder if they treat one Master`s like two Master`s and how they treat Ph.D. studies. I really think that I should receive the highest points for the extensive education that I have done.

Have you finished your PhD? If so you will get full points. Otherwise, you'll get the same points for two masters as you would have got for one.

Thanks. I havent finished my Ph.D. At the same time, I believe that this is very unjust to disregard graduate level work and post graduate level work while acknowledging and distinguishing between one Bachelor`s degree and two Bachelor`s degrees and giving them different points. The same should apply on the Master`s level to say the least. I am considering to write and fax a letter to the CIC officer before they make their decision on my case. My CC was charged 3 days ago which means they will be handling my application soon. Any insights from your own experience and/or knowledge please?

Thank you,

Thank you,

You will receive 23 points for your education. No points are awarded for education that hasn't been completed yet. There is no point in writing a letter to CIC - they won't give you additional points.

I submitted the original copy of my IELTS result and still find it hard to believe it wasn't seen. If it wasn't included in the application, how come it was in the returned application?

Did u forget to check the document check list for IELTS?

I checked the box for IELTS on the document checklist. I just hope my application would still be considered and processed under the old process as it was received by CIC on the 10th of December 2014
