Dear Friends,

I have PR and my child is a Canadian citizen. My wife has visit visa and all the family members will travel to Canada this September. Under the new updated restrictions, Immediate Family Members of Canadians/PRs can travel. But I heard that some airlines do not allow visit visas to board. Please do you know any cases. Can we travel easily? I will travel from UAE and I am afraid that the airlines will deny boarding for my wife. Please advice.

You need to follow the guidelines to show to checkin agent the proof of relationship to yourself and your child. The airline should have instructions how to contact CBSA to confirm boarding allowed at least that is the way supposed to work. Suggest you contact your chosen airline in advance anyway.

Note it is still likely even in September you need a mandatory isolation plan and as your wife is a visitor you are still reliant on how long she may be authorised by CBSA to stay In Canada
