Request new photographs for PR Card after landing - add your case here

Hi guys

So our details are as follows:
1. Landing date: 27 Aug 2017
2. Photo resubmission request date: 10 Oct 2017
3. Photo submission date: Not sent yet
4. PR card receiving date: N/A

I have a few questions:

1. Are these letters for photo resubmission received via email only or should I expect a hard copy as well? (My only concern is that I don't want it to be scam or I don't want to make a mistake)

2. Did u guys submit the photos with the hard copy or printed the letter from the email and sent it with your pictures?

3. I have received a separate email with my application number on it and a separate one was received by my husband on his email address and his application number. Now it seems that only me and my husband have to send their pics. I have 2 sons as well but I haven't received any separate letter with their application numbers on it. Should I send their pics too or just mine and my husbands.? If they need my kids pics will I get a separate letter for them?

4. Have some people received their PR cards after resubmitting their pics? If the letter was received by them via email?

5. We are currently not in Canada so is there any address that we can send our pics to?

6. Is there any number for CIC that I can call from.abroad?

I will really appreciate the feedback. This will help to clear my doubts.

I did sent mine by regular mail. Don't feel like paying 25$ every time they request new pics.

I just called them up. I photos were received by them on 16th. But the guy said it would be laying around in the room. They will only open the package after two months of the receiving date. So he said my photo will be opened in November second week. And if it still doesn't match the criteria, I'll have another photo request and have to wait two more months and so on. The guy said they are processing July 28th Photo requests. I cannot imagine they are super slow.

My wife's photo request received by email and one of my children's photo request received by post (as he did not have email address, After I sent their photos, I updated my email address in his application using CSE).

For the last three weeks, each time i call them they are saying we are processing photos received (27 July and before), they don't have like daily or weekly update, but it looks they gets the update randomly.

Well, I guess so too. Couple of posts before someone said that they are now processing 9th August. So that's good.

Great news. My photos were delivered on the 10th Aug, still no updates!

OMG, i got some updates. the status now is "updated". After i clicked inside, both my daughter and my wife's status is: Your document is valid. There is also a document number show and also expiry date is Oct XX 2022. Does that means the photos for both of us is approved? Coz the status summary is UPDATED and not APPROVED or DISPATCHED yet. Please advise.

FYI, my daughter photo re submission receive date is: Aug 8 (i though it's Aug 11 but it's not) and my wife is Aug 14.

Hi,

If a new photo request comes, I guess it is fine if we give new photos (other than originally submitted) but taken say 2 months ago (assuming it fulfills all other PR card photo specs). Is my understanding correct?

Just received an email stating that my photos are not acceptable for pr card ( the first pr card actually).
Landed August 25
Email received October 11
Photo sent October 11
Photo received October 16

How long does it usually take to receive the pr card after that?

I would like to update here case of my brother's wife. They all landed on 9th June, PR card of my brother and his daughter was approved on 31st July, however, his wife card was not processed because of photo issue. Below are the timelines:

Landing: 09 June, 2017
Photos Request: 2 Aug, 2017 (Came to know over phone call with CIC agent and they sent email immediately afterwards)
Photos resent: 2 Aug, 2017
PR CARD approved: 07 Oct, 2017

It is sure now, that they have at least crossed photo requests, made on 2nd August, 2017.
