hi friends
i got a letter from citizenship to bring 4 years of rental history and notice of assesments.Notice of assessement are easy to get
but how about rental agreement?
I have stayed in a basement in tornoto.
what should i do to show that i stayed there.?
please help me with this.

What caused that request... I guess that you have applied under the old rules by still seeing this request.

Does any of these applies to you?


1.Any visits in USA made by crossing the land border
2.Any visa valid or expired to USA
3.Stamps in your passport which are not in English or French
4.Gaps in your travel documents or currently expired last passport.
5.Expired previous PR card
6.Living very long time at the same address.
7.Usage of a Travel Document other than a Passport or PR card

I only thing applied to me us i ahve USA valid Visa
I think i have changed my name after mariage may be thats y.or i moved to other province after PR.

Don't worry about that you have moved to another province.
Changing the name after marriage is also NOT a problem.

In addition to your US visa do you have any absence from Canada more than 6 months?

ya i went back home for 6 months with my baby on a maternity leave to india

I know that many landlords don't sign Rental agreements, I guess that you pay your rent in cash.
You can ask your landlord to give you the payment receipts they should also work.

The payment receipts will have more value, but on the other hand such letter should also help.
Why don't you ask your landlord to give you the payment receipt? You have the right to ask for such receipt because is a prove of your money spend for rent.

its been four years .and i dont think so she gave us any receipts.it was just cash we paid.

It doesn't matter that it's been four years, if you ask for your receipts you should get them. It's obligation of the landlord to give you the receipts.

i dont have naything..if i recievd one i think i lost all.its been 4 years..
