Renewing the card: What constitutes proof of stay ?

Does the country you were residing in during your absence from Canada stamp your entries and your exits on your passport? If it doesn't this presents an issues as to your actual absence dates. Get a record of entries and exits from the immigration/ border control agency of that country.

Yes, all the exits and entries are stamped on the passport. But for the past 14 months we've been living in Canada continuously. Hope this counts.
