hi msafiri,

thank you for your response.

sorry but just to clear,

1) so I will still put "2008" as from date in the details (Not Period to Be Assessed)?
2) But the "Number of Days" outside Canada will be only based on the Period to be Assessed dates, in my case it's 1015 days (Sept 14 2009 to June 26, 2014)?

thanks again.

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Not really sure where the complication is - the PRC application form questions (address, work, travel history) reference a 5 year period since this the legally mandated examination period.

So for example in question 21 on the assumption you lived in Kiev from August 1, 2008 to October 1, 2010 put your dates as:

From as 2009-09-15 and To as 2010-10-01 on the basis that 5 years ago from today was Sep 15, 2009. If its easier for you to deal with actual absence days disregarding the 5 year window then put the actual dates back to 2008 and let CIC worry about doing the math. CIC should really design a PRC renewal residency calculator similar to that for citizenship.

additional question to my first two questions.

3) If I use 2008 as the "FROM" date in the travel history details (not the PEriod Covered section), the number of days I will put is still 5 years back right?

thanks
In My opinion you use the date 5 years back from the date you are signing, for example:

you left Canada September 2008 but your past 5 years starts from 5 October 2009 to 5 October 2014, So you will mention From 5 October 2009 to June 2012 Out side Canada
