Remote Work from USA?

I am on a visitor visa in Canada. I just submitted my application for spousal sponsorship. I understand that I cannot work in Canada unless I have a work permit. Can I work for a US company if the job is remote? Thank you!

As long as that company has no Canadian customers / clients, then yes.

Also you need to have a work visa in the US to work remotely, unless you’re a citizen
