Hello all, I'm wondering if anyone can provide me with some better information on what to do in my current situation.

My partner and I are planning on moving to Toronto from the US, as I've gotten into a university there. We don't meet the requirements for claiming common-law / conjugual partners right now so I'm unable to sponsor her under my student visa. For her, should she apply for a work permit or the highly skilled workers permit? She has a degree and background in public health. The plan is for us to get settled up there with her working full-time during my first year of my masters program and then by the time I'm completing that degree, she will be starting a master's program and I can work full-time to support the both of us during her education. The main goal is just to make sure we can both come over at the same time. Any insight would be appreciated.

She is not eligible for any permit without a job offer and approved LMIA. So you need to be married first.
