one thing I don't understand what make them work with 75% less staff they are not any Frontline worker who gets infected with covid all they have to do is reviewing application and background check everything can be done completely online it's not like they have to travel from Canada to India for background verification

There is not adequate data to prove approval rate is insane. We will only know that at the end of 2020 when IRCC publish statistics.
Trust me, this is a very grey area. A lot of information regarding the approval rate is not available on the internet. My claims are directly sourced from professional people not from the layman.

So what if even If I can't travel ? I am fine as long as I receive my AIP . This thread is only for discussion regarding AIP refusals not regarding the travel ban. It is very much unlikely that the travel ban will be forever.
Yep.. Let’s stick to AIP thing with fingers crossed..
Good news will strike all of us soon..

Hardly matters.!
IRCC won’t change their rules for you if you apply through lawyer
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/coronavirus-covid19/visitors/immediate-family.html

Refer to this
Another thing to take into consideration is that the travel allowance is strictly confined to the CBSA authorities . IRCC may set the rules but as long as you convince the the customs/POE officer that you have family in Canada for quarantine and in-person classes from the educational institute you are good to go.

A lawyer cannot challenge long-existing rigid rules but can help you get away from soft rules pertaining to temporary measures. There are accounts of numerous people clearing the specific regional border entries where rules are lenient.

There are many practising POE lawyers specialising border clearance alone. I suggest anyone trying to mitigate a smooth border clearance to hire one as the chances are very high.

Buddy.. For now we have to live up with AIP..
we cannot fly with AIP and Travel on TRV is no longer valid during this restriction unless and until you have some family exigency..
Even if you are able too you won’t be able to get your SP while being in Canada for the case filed in India..
So anyways have to come back to India for stamping..

I never declared that I can travel just because I have an AIP without a passport stamp. All my suggestions are after visa stamping. VACs in India are not going to be closed forever.

I mentioned the information so that it may help the spectators on this forum who got their permits approved prior March 18 or in a similar situation, not for arguing. Of course, high chances that restrictions will get uplifted on time.
