Do you have any work experience? What part of Canada are you in? Move to Atlantic Canada and apply for AIPP. It's probably the easiest and fastest way to get PR, you will have to secure employment first though.
Visit NB and NL immigration website and get the list of designated employers and contact all of them to see if they will hire you!
Good luck and keep your head up! Things will get better.
Thank you for your positive feedback.
I'm in Ontario

Right now he is out of status in Canada. So without solving that problem first it will be useless for him to apply for any economic immigration program.

He does not have to have status to apply for PR. Economic immigration is probably his only solution.
Wrong, in order to apply for any economic PR you have to have valid status in Canada.

Again wrong, he is out of status, meaning he cannot apply for PR. Currently he is not a refugee as his refugee claim was rejected. So unless he will get TRP, he cannot apply.

Becoming a permanent resident of Canada
To stay in Canada as a permanent resident, you must leave the country and apply from outside Canada, except in the special cases listed below. To become a permanent resident, you must meet Canada's immigration requirements.

You can apply to become a permanent resident from inside Canada if you:

What is the procedure to voluntarily leave Canada after refugee refusal:

1. How to get passport?
2. Can I travel to any other country if I have a visa from Canada?
3. What happens to existing Canadian visitor visa, will it be cancelled with stamp?

  1. Contact CBSA and tell them you are leaving. They will make arrangements to meet you at the plane and return your passport in flight.
  2. You will need to travel to a country where you home passport is accepted or you have a valid visa. A Canadian visa doesn’t provide any benefit to you for other countries. It’s not a Canadian passport.
  3. It’s already cancelled if you have made an asylum claim. Whether they physically stamp it or not, I don’t know. But it is cancelled and you won’t be able to use it to travel back to Canada.

You mean Canadian visa will be cancelled but not other visas?
Only Canadian visas will be cancelled.
Bear in mind that Canada and USA share immigration info., so any USA visa won't necessarily be cancelled but you'll be denied entry.
Any other visas remain unaffected.

Slightly different opinion as even you can re enter Canada if your circumstances have changed, similarly you can enter USA later when your circumstances have changed even they exchange information

This information is not correct. If the refugee claim is denied. Any visa on the passport will be cancelled. Have seen this happened to many people

Hahaha Actually no,
They have nothing to do with other visas except Canadian visa. Why would they cancel. They dont have right to touch your passport and visas. Whoever claimed refugee, means he/she has seek protection, it doesn't mean he / she committed any crime internationally and Canada is world's supreme court that all visas to be cancelled of refugee seeker.
