Anyone had this experience?
I applied for asylum at the end of 2024 and received a less complex case. I submitted my evidence in August 2025, and about a month later, I received another letter stating that the IRB is no longer considering my case as less complex and that I must attend a regular hearing. Since then, there have been no updates. My lawyer says that many people with similar cases are receiving decisions without a hearing, and that the IRB can make a decision on a case-by-case basis without holding a hearing. Has anyone gone through a similar situation?
Which region please?Anyone had this experience?
