Reference letter issue

Hi guys

1. The CIC webpage says you need to mention the job status (if the job is current). What does it mean? What status should I mention?

2. Another question: Two of my reference letters mention my salary in local currency. Is it OK if I write a LoE providing with relevant exchange rates?

They just want to know if you're still employed there as on date.
