Reasons for Rejection

I received a refusal on 26th May due to incorrect CRS calculation by my consultant. They put 475 instead of 468 due to which my score went below the cut-off of 475...Sadly this was after almost 4 months of waiting. Feels extremely disappointed when I see the cut off reaching such bottom levels and yet just for a few numbers my application got refused :( Now waiting again in the pool.
They dont put your score, they put wrong info that gave you false score, try to figure out what was the mistake that they did

Hello,
I've a question regarding proof of funds.
Presently I'm having sufficient proof of funds which is for one candidate ( i.e., equivalent of $12,300 CAD.)
According to today's rate $1 CAD= 48 INR, if in future the canadian currency value increases suppose up to 51INR, then my funds would go below the minimum requirement of POF.

My question is, will the change in currency value which is not predictable effect my application and it being rejected for insufficient funds?

After my rejection due to a faulty LOE, I submitted a new profile and received an ITA today.

I have a question regarding one of the statutory questions for the background information.

" Have you been refused admission to, or ordered to leave canada?"

Does a rejection of a PR application constitute as a refused admission and I'd have to answer "yes"?

Rejection due to incomplete documents where your fee was returned is different from refusal where a visa officer declined your Pr and sent you a note with a detailed reason. If it's the latter you should answer Yes and provide the relevant details. The former owner you can leave out. Hope this helps

Well, I'm getting my "Right for PR Fee" returned, not the application fee itself. My employment reference letter wasn't properly dated, so the officer raised concern regarding me fulfilling the work experience requirements. I asked my employer to fix this mistake for my new application.

Wording is as follows:

"As I have found that you no longer meet the minimum criteria to be eligible to be invited to apply set out in an instruction given under 10.3(1)(e), you no longer meet the requirements of Section 11.2 of the Act. I am therefore refusing your application."

The last thing I want to happen after all this is accidentally "misrepresenting" myself.

You are correct. This is refusal, not cancellation. You should mark 'Yes', and explain this.

In any case, there is nothing to lose at all in marking 'Yes' to such questions when there is confusion and let IRCC figure out whether it is required for them or not!

yes, they miscalculated my education points. It was a silly mistake. I was so confident about me getting PPR in May but got a shock of my life!

Hi all,

Has anyone here got a rejection for non-accompanying spouse.? Or

Has anyone here been through application successfully and received PR with application as non-accompanying spouse.?
Thanks.

Hi zaksam, i was also planning to go with non-accompanying spouse option. Did you also opted for this way?

Have you heard about any cases where rejection happend because of this??

Hi guys!!

I don't know how relevant this question is in this thread. I would like your advise on the same

I worked with 4 companies in the last 10 years and I declared the same in my EE profile. I got my ITA on 31st May where the CRS cut-off was 413. Now I have a problem in acquiring the reference letters from 2 of my previous employers. So my question here is

1. Can I make any changes now i.e., post ITA, in my work history by removing both the experiences? My CRS points (446) would remain unchanged even after removing them.
2. Will the VO consider this as misrepresentation to acquire ITA and eventually reject my application?
3. Or should I decline the ITA and enter the pool again.

Please help.
Thank you

Are you 100% sure the changes do not affect to your score?

Hello. I received a letter canceling my application today due to a lack of upfront medical exam for myself and my family. Our application was submitted Feb 25. This means that we COULDNT submit upfront medical as it's not allowed anymore. What can or do I do? Do I need a lawyer?

Where did you get this information that upfront medical is not allowed anymore. As far as I can see on CIC website, its compulsory.
