Guys,

Today I received a request for schedule A. It says: Schedule A: A separate and newly completed Schedule A Background Declaration form
(IMM 5669) bearing an original signature Do not leave any gaps in time. If you answer "Yes" to
any of the questions in Item 6 on Page 1, you must provide details.

Is this normal, and in which cases do they request sch A? I have been rejected for student visa earlier this year, is this the reason?

My timeline:

1. ITA - 2nd November
2. App submitted and AOR - 7th December
3. Medicals passed - 9th December
4. Schedule A request - 14th December

Thanks,
Martin
If you received ita through pnp, then also it is common to receive schedule-A request.

By the way are you outland applicant or inland applicant ?

That would be Schedule 4. Schedule A is for applicants who have answered YES to one of the statutory questions OR who have left gaps in any of the sections in e-APR.

By the way its better to include her/him in application, coz regardless of this, she/ he is accompanying you, you will have to show POF, medicals, so include in your application rest is upto you if take him/her to Canada or leave here:

Thank you.
But if your spouse and child is not accompanying you, why is there need to show POF for the whole family?
I think only the PA has to show his/her POF in this case.
Please clarify.

No. You need POF for all family members !

Some points to keep in mind -

POF has to be shown for all dependents, irrespective of whether they are accompanying or not.
Meds/PCC are mandatory for PA/spouse/child (no PCC for children), irrespective of whether they are accompanying or not.

Hey,

I have a 9-10 month unemployment period in my work history. Am I likely to receive a sched A? I would be answering "no" to the statutory questions.

As long in your personal history you record that time as "unemployed" then no.

Schedule A is a form that can be requested from a CIC officer when processing your application.

kryt0n already gave some examples of what the statutory questions are.

You do not have to explain periods of unemployment.
