@nevneet10sep your SOP must mention that you have done both bachelor and masters degree. Then mention the two weakness in your first masters degree namely; course based and absence of specialized focus on embed systems which you need badly to enter into highly demanded professional area. Let the Visa Officer understand why embed systems is very important field of study in recent times and which job opportunities will you derive from your second masters degree when you return from Canada. Besides, how will it increase your prospect for doctoral studies in the near future.

@mizan776 PhD admission does not focus on only research based masters degree as a requirement. GPA is also a factor as I know that many Canadian Universities require not less then 3.5 on the scale of 4. So yes if you have masters research based then it must move along with good GPA preferably not less than 3.5. Also don't forget to demonstrate your acquired strong research background by writing excellent research proposal for your doctoral applications. A strong doctoral proposal takes considerable time to author and the kind of references you include in your text can tell the admission committee whether an applicant is a doctoral material or not. It also important to familiarize yourself with research interest of the faculty members in that university and turn your research proposal to suit any of them. Finally your research proposal should aim at creating new knowledge but not for the sake of writing something for admission. Faculty members who review doctoral applications have strong scientific background such that they can identify poor research proposal within split seconds.

I got admit at U of Windsor. IELTS is exempted for all universities that I applied.

Could you please share other universities where IELTS is exempted?

Thanks,

Thanks,

Canrushi......IELTS was exempted for me because I had a north american degree where the medium of instruction was in English.

You can talk out with the program coordinator regarding IELTS exemption.

Have you submitted IELTS score?
If your still interested in doing another masters than go for it, but choose other major program, say... instead of biotechnology you may apply for environmental or anything related to your previous study in which you need to explore more knowledge.

I got admit from Univ of windsor and Ryerson Univ. Both univ has asked me to confirm the admission. will it b a problem if I confirm both admits and take admission to only one..or either cancel plans to do masters?

Ryerson university said if I confirrm the admission then it will be mandatory for me to attend that university. .

Please advise!!

Why do you want to confirm for both universities? Anyways it doesn't matter if you confirm for both. I would suggest go for Ryerson than Windsor.

hello guys.

Kindly help me

I would like to do second master in any one of Canadian universities. I have called some of the educational consultancies in India and they are not giving much support for doing second master as I am already a master holder. They are saying about the chance of visa rejection. My plan is to take a MEng or MaSc in Canada. Is that a real problem. I am really confused with this matter
My profile is

ME Mechanical Engineering ( Manufacturing Engineering) - 79.1 % ( no backlogs)
B.Tech Mechanical Engineering - 60.4 % (with backlogs)
Have 2 year experience in Industrial field.
Have 1 year experience in teaching field.

Please please help me

Hi mizan776
I'm confused between applying for second Masters(M engg) or for PhD. My Bachelors is from Civil Engg and Masters in Construction Management.
I want to pursue a career pathway which leads to CEO of the company or GM. I haven't considered the academia field.
Can u plz advice?
