Elated to announce that finally today at 3:05PM I got the
Much awaited PPR mail
My timelines are as follows :

NOC - 3132

1) 16th Sep - App Received
2) 6th Jan - PER
3) 24th March - Process Started
4) 14th April - Med Req
5) 30th April - Med update
6) 9th May - DM
7) 26th May - PPR

Thank the almighty for this successful journey
Of 8 months & 10 days in totality .
Also would like to thank each active member on this
Forum for their valuable support always.

Passports sent : 25th may...
Now waiting to get pp back with maple leaf and COPR...

Would like to thank all the wonderful people on the forum once again for their relentless help..
This is really a nice forum and without the ppl and discussions here..the one year wait would have been a hell lot tougher..

i got my stamped passport today !!!!

My honest thanks to all in this form , I joined this form when it was just 13 pages old n believe me without this form I couldn't have got my passport stamped.

I have learnt from the forum that ICICI bank statements will not be accepted as POF at POE.

Has anyone had any success with just the bank statements ?

I do not want to create a Canadian bank account because i am travelling to canada only for 10 days.

If I make a DD in my name in Canadian dollar the bank debits that amount from my account . my question is if we do not use that DD will that amount again be credited to my account?

Also since this DD is in Canadian dollars while crediting it to my account will the buying/selling rate be applicable because the selling rate is different from buying rate and I will have to bear a loss of 2 dollar per every dollar.

So If I convert all the $14000 in DD , then i will be at a huge loss when converting it to INR because of the exchange rates.

Is there any other alternative ?

What is the best option to use without incurring a loss by the exchange rates.

I am very confused . Seniors please help me.

I sent my India PCC and Medicals on 20th April to NDVO and almost immediately saw the ECAS status say "Medical Results Received".

However, my FBI PCC wasn't in my hand then, so I sent the PCC yesterday to NDVO.

Now, how long can one expect to wait after this stage? And does "Medical Results Received" imply that the medical reports were clear?

Only when the DD is submitted in any of your bank accounts in Canada, the amount get transferred, till that time the funds are still in your India Bank account.
