Hi Friends,

I am August 20, 2014 applicant and have recently got the second line updated on my application. Looks like my application has started for processing from March 23rd. I have few questions / clarifications from experts in this group.

I was in US while I applied for PR. I was uncertain where I will be in 2015, so I chose NDVO as visa office where my application is currently being processed. Recently I have moved to Canada. So I want to know if I can the medical done here in Canada? I have updated my communication address for Canada online.

Also, when it comes to passport request for visa stamping. Can that be done in Canada itself. If yes, what's the process for same.

Last but important, are there still some roadblocks to overcome or I should be thru with the process ).

At the time of sending docs with medical to NDVO tell them that your are in canada and please allow the passport stamping in canada at the time of PPR, in most of the cases they agree

Onces you receive the MR request roadblocks are over as only criminality check is left if pcc is asked at the time of MR

Nopes,, it does not... You cant be sure until you get the medical request via email.

PFB the below process to raise a CSE to NDVO to ensure they update the details. Kay aspect in bold.

Updating an application for permanent residence

If you already have an application at our office for a permanent resident visa you must inform us of changes.

Please inform us immediately, by a signed request, either by original letter or by scan of a letter attached to an email, for:
change of address, including change of e-mail address

Do the above via CSE and that should be it.

Hi Friends,

My file was received on July 4th and I've got my second line updated. At the time of application I was in my Nepal so I kept the visa office as New Delhi but I moved to US 2 months back. I have already sent "address change" request with US-address. But my wife also joined me a month ago, do I need to send the "address change" for my wife again?

We started processing your application on 25th March !!

App date : 13th Aug
PER: 3rd dec
2nd line update : 25th March

somebody please tell me that how can I send medical slip and RPRF to ndvo by fedex....
somebody told me that a courier service cannot deliver on a address which has a P.O BOX number...
but i have seen people using bluedart and fedex so please help me...asap...
I need to send it.....please brothers and sisters help me :-X :-X

Remove the P.O Box number and send it to the same address

My passport was renewed in Feb 2015 , but after PPR i have sent only the new passport for visa stamping. Should I have sent the old one also ? It did not make sense since visa is to be stamped only on current passport. Also NDVO did not say anything specific about submitting the old pp as well.

During RPRF/PCC stage I had updated them about the new passport , sent copies of both old and new passport.

Depends on many factors, primarily on your processing region.

I have a 8 months old PCC from UK and have not been there after getting it.
Will it work now as I have asked to submit by NDVO.

it takes 2 to 3 weeks from 2nd line if all goes well
