Salam everyone
I am new here. Received medical request recently. I have following queries;
1. What does IMM Type: Non EDE means?
2. Is only the principal applicant required to do the medicals as the IMM1017 they sent is only for principal applicant.
3. They also asked to pay RPRF of 980 CAD. How to pay this?

Looking forward for prompt reply please.

Regards
Muhammad

Dear Friends,

Need your urgent help for a query -

One of my friends is a citizen of Canada. He is planning to marry an Indian girl but she is not having PR. Immigration consultant advised him to apply the Visitor Visa. Once she is here in Canada, he can go ahead with marriage.

1. Is this process legal?
2. Is there any there other process available?

Regards,
Dev
He cannot apply visitor VISA for her. On what grounds will HE apply. She needs to apply for a visitor VISA and get approved.
Now to your questions.
1. Is this process legal?
Getting married is legal everywhere.
2. Is there any there other process available?
Process for what? Marriage? I guess your friend could go to India and marry her as well.
If you actually wanted to ask about shortcuts for the girl to settle in Canada, then the answer is no. Even if she manages to get a visitor visa and come here and marries, she must go back on visa expiry. Then she needs to separately sponsored for PR.
Also, she does not directly become a Canadian citizen, she must get PR first.

Seems CIC ain't really interested in processing pre EE applications. My GCMS notes generated 21st February 2017 shows Eligibility and medicals as passed and Criminal and Security as not started. I ordered another set of notes which I got today and no update whatsoever; nothing has changed. Still the same thing. I sent an email to my processing office in March about the status of my application and got a reply that it is with an officer for review. I sent an email also this month of May and got still the same reply that it is still with an officer for review. I wonder when the security and criminal checks will be started.

Hello everyone,
I am new on this forum
I am an applicant of FSW2014. Recently I received a request to submit revised PCC and forms. Moreover I have been asked to pay
CAD 150 online for adding a dependent child. I have been asked to visit the following link and pay online
https://eservices.cic.gc.ca/epay/
I could not find the FSW category to do the payment. instead following categories were listed on the site

Please advise which one is more relevant to do the payment
Thanks

I was a Fsw 2014 applicant and successfully entered Canada and this thread helped us a lot to reach here. It was just curiosity to just check back and surprised to see still thread is active and unfortunately around 62 could not make it. This is not for encouraging or discouraging but just sharing some facts and experience.

My experience and facts

I was able to get a job in my field with in 3 months because I could show some Canadian experience in my Resume. I had that in the country where I was so I could show that in my Resume. So it helped me. But with minimum salary or close to minimum. Another thing here ethnicity, country of origin, religion all matters to get a job. For example if you can be identified with your religion or country of origin there is a chance to get a call for interview from those particular employers. But south Asian employers generally sucks. Because they are more interested in newcomers if they can keep you with minimum wage for long time. One reason they pay minimum wage because they count what they are paying in their local currency and thinking it is a lot. In order to do that they use customized programs and software to keep you with them. So in case you leave or apply some where else there are less chances. There are few exceptions and luck factors. Why we struggle generally to get a job. ?. Canadian high paid job market is fast paced with latest technology and preference is given to native Canadians. Local Canadian English accent and slang are important and employers already have judgement that newcomers do not have this because of refugees and family members mixed groups of new comers and main applicants themselves do not have Canadian accent. If you have accent different from Canadian or at least US or UK how ever much you try your best you can not change only you can pretend. So in short if you have any of these weaknesses you will in most cases start with factory jobs which is hard and only minimum wages. Good thing is Ontario starting from 2018 paying minimum wage $14/hr. If you have 2 or 3 kids child tax benefit will take care of rent. Ontario low income electricity program will take care of electricity if you settle in Ontario. I just mentioned general situation but there are exceptions in high demand jobs. Generally Canadian experience, native english accent are very important. Doing some Canadian course not just diploma at least degree or if you can do a professional course great. Property cost is very high in Canada. In order to buy a semi detached house at least you have to have a job with $30/hr pay. To get a job with this minimum pay you should be in a profession recognized in Canada with Canadian experience. It takes at least 15 years to settle if you have this minimum pay. So my suggestion mostly for those who are less than 35 years of age will have some time to settle. Others will have to wait for their kids to come up. These are my thoughts and experience.

I am alone now remaining in this desert of FSWP2014. It seems everyone else has already landed. But don't know that whether it is matter of luck, discrimination, relegion, nationality !!! Anyhow I was interviewd in LVO and after that complete silence again. Now everything is passed except Security. It seems they are conducting lenghty security. Otherwise usually after interview if your medical is already passed it must not take this much of Time. Any comments.

When did you pass the interview? Unfortunatelly you are not alone because I am with you... The processing time is 33 months now and it is constantly increasing. What was the reason for the interview? Did you order notes? I really regret that I haven't applied under Express Entry. Sometimes think that it would be better to withdraw my application...
