Hey guys need your insight and thoughts on this! I am planning to withdraw my paper application submitted in June of 2020 which is catching dust somewhere and re-applying online, where i see much better chances for being called for test/ oath by June 2022 whereas I’m hopeless with paper application . it’s so unfortunate for us to see people who applied in April and later 2021 got there oath and no news for the 2019 and 2020. please leave your thoughts because i am gonna write a withdrawal request by Friday! Thanks

What is your progress? Did you receive AOR and IP?
Have they invited you for a test yet?
I applied in March and got invited for the test only in the end of August!

No test , however i have AOR and in process shit.

It took me March 2020 to August 2021 to get test invite i.e. Almost a full 18 months from App Delivery -> Test Invite.
When did you get your AOR? For me AOR -> Test Invite was almost exactly 1 year!

If it is not one year yet from AOR, I wouldn't worry too much.... give it some time. That'd be my advise.

I am past 365 days from AOR to today’s date

Obviously I don't know your personal circumstances but I see a few folks never seeing any progress for a long time but then they started getting updates and completing their oaths within days of their 2 year mark.

If I were you, I'd decide based on my situation. Is lack of citizenship hampering my ability to progress personally like preventing personal/business travel or job progress, your earning potential or the stability you need to buy a home or start a family etc.

For a lot of people this is true, for some it's not. So you could decide based on that.

Remember, your withdrawal itself will take quite a bit of time. And if you apply before your withdrawal is complete, it could add more time as noted here:

Having waited this long, you have some moral high ground when talking to IRCC. I totally understand your frustration and it's fundamentally unfair but if I were you, for my own good, I would decide this 100% on a rational basis based on my injury from this delay and not compare my progress with others in the forum.

Just my 2 cents.
