RCMP clearance, please clarify !

Does everyone who is in Canada need to get RCMP clearance? They have not requested anything from us - We got FBI clearance in with application in 2012 as we are originally from the US. But we have been in Canada for 6 years....

Does CIC get RCMP clearance internally, or will they request me to get it? - I have been thinking we were DONE with our part, I hope they are not going to ask for more.... Maybe this is why the hold up since Medicals were done October 12th and still no word?

Please clarify for me, I'm in super stress overload

No, no, and again, NO. As is written in the instructions.

Yes, a name-based check is automatically conducted for all applicants.

Only if the name check is not clear. Then fingerprints will be required to clear you -

No, there is no hold up, long waits are normal. If you have to do something to alleviate your stress, order your GCMS notes.
