In the video and McCallum said that scores will go down by fall
and fall means september Hope everything will get better for us in the next draw

No, the big difference between that guy and McCallum is the fall of cutoff score.

Mr.McCallum only promises he will award more points and ease up requirements for int'l students , no mention that score will drop whatsoever

WHILE the "CIC guy" claimed the cut off score will drop to 400.

Like I said before, how cut off score will drop when you have thousands of CEC applicants suddenly have 20 or 30 more points added to their profile?

It seems that the below prediction was right today. A quote from a website:
"
It is expected that Canadian Govt. will impose some new regulations and implement changes towards the calculations of CRS scores, where students with Canadian education will be allotted additional points which will add up to their CRS scores. The scores may be in range of 5-20 depending upon the education completed. This in turn will raise the CRS bar towards the higher level of 500. Our sources indicate that if these changes are implemented CRS may well remain above the level of 500 till the middle of year 2017 unless the immigration targets are changed and Canada issues higher number of nominations for each upcoming draw this year until May 2017.

So in summary, things will only good for CEC applicants, not FSWs. Cut off score might go back to 450+ when ITAs are back to 1500, but more CEC applicants got invited since they have more points.

Guys please stop getting excited about September, the new quarter starts in October (I.e. Jan-March, April-June, July-Sept, Oct-Dec)... It was one of you that said on one of these threads that the cut-off scores are set high or low for a quarter.

I hope I'm wrong - but I don't think we'll see changes until October at the earliest, so I don't want to see people getting so fixated on the scores going down next draw... If I'm wrong then I'll be just as happy as you lot!!

That is why I am leaving because I realized this is pointless, burning money here with zero work or the ability to gain employment. So it seems like for me, I'll be back home when the next draw happens.

It's an unfortunate situation, I feel your pain. The ONLY positive is that if you're working at home then you might pass another bracket in the work experience scoring. Oh and seeing your family of course!

You're right, that is the only positive thing that is keeping me going. As for EE, worst case scenario, I work one full year there and overall, I will then have 500 points. That is also why I want to act fast and leave fast from here so I don't delay employment, regardless of what happens here.

I would hope people stop wishing something dramatic is gonna happen right in Sept. It'd lead to more disappointment.

Looking back in 2014 and 2013 (2015 was exceptional due to govt change and elections). quota for the next year usually gets released during first week of November. There is always a subsequent affect on the immigration numbers right after that. So, these 2 things look very likely:

1. Nothing happens till first week of November (mind you that Nov is also 'fall'), and then next 3 year's quota get released. Immigration numbers are speculated to be higher than before, so the ITAs should go up. Again, that depends of how the distribution of the quota is i.e FSW, family class etc, but let's hope it increases for all.

2. Changes regarding CRS calculation can come in anytime starting Sept to Nov, which might completely change the present equation of who gets how much points. Someone with 430 now might end up with 480 and vice versa.

So I think definitely ITAs would go up around Nov time frame, but a specific applicant who has a certain score now would get that ITA or not would depend entirely on the new CRS scale.

I totally agree and second this!^^^

That "CIC guy" was just talking nonsense. I now place my hope on Emperor Palpatine Mr.McCallum.

Now there are two things that we need to now asap:

  • Mid year report
  • New immigration plan

I hope we will have these two in September.

If Canadian government said it would happen in September, I would expect it in December.

Be thankful it is at least not the US government or it would happen in September of 2025. ;D

All CEC applicants? your hope is too high, pal. Majority of CEC applicants are young working professional with bachelor, degree, 2 years Canadian working exp, and CLB 8 or 9, so their scores are usually around 450-468. Trust my words, when IRCC ease up the requirements and awards more points for CEC applicants, FSW will be in a world of hurt.

Any news on IRCC planning to ease up requirements for cec or give them more points in ee system ?

Not CEC. They will give additional point for Canadian Education.

No. Along with points for Intl students, IRCC is planning to allot points if you have a job/job offer. Currently without LMIA you won't get extra points. The LMIA requirement will be waived off for CEC.
