Still standing at 471, and also hoping for long awaited September changes. If the scenario will be close to what it was last year, then there truly is hope for the CRS going down to 460 and maybe even 450 by the end of the year.

Where is everybody getting this 'September' from?

If it's from the video of that CIC representative then he said draws will stay small until September which depending on how well you apply the English language (and we don't know how he did in his case) could mean up until the start of September, or September could also be inclusive in the small draws.

Anyway, not trying to start an 'English' language debate again (like I involuntarily created before) ::)

I looked back at the last couple of years of immigration news on Google and the news from the immigration companies etc. re the new immigration plan always came out at the end of October/early November. There's not reason to believe that this new government will change the release date of next years plan. This year (March was it? Can't remember) was an exception as they'd just taken over office - was it this year??? Gosh, the days are rolling into one big wait fest and I'm just losing track of time

I don't know how to find it, sorry. There's about a dozen threads floating around on this forum where people have posted it - but I can't remember which one I saw it on.

All CEC applicants? your hope is too high, pal. Majority of CEC applicants are young working professional with bachelor, degree, 2 years Canadian working exp, and CLB 8 or 9, so their scores are usually around 450-468. Trust my words, when IRCC ease up the requirements and awards more points for CEC applicants, FSW will be in a world of hurt.

You quote the wrong score.

Me and my friends graduated from UWaterloo engineering, CLB8-9, and our scores are around 430-450

It seems that the below prediction was right today. A quote from a website:
"
It is expected that Canadian Govt. will impose some new regulations and implement changes towards the calculations of CRS scores, where students with Canadian education will be allotted additional points which will add up to their CRS scores. The scores may be in range of 5-20 depending upon the education completed. This in turn will raise the CRS bar towards the higher level of 500. Our sources indicate that if these changes are implemented CRS may well remain above the level of 500 till the middle of year 2017 unless the immigration targets are changed and Canada issues higher number of nominations for each upcoming draw this year until May 2017.

Yep, 450-468 is a bit too high.

However, with Bachelor degree, CLB 9 and 2 years Canadian working exp will earn you 460 (440 for CLB 8). In summary, with the implementation of new changes, most CEC applicants will have 450+ EE points, as we will jump from ~ 430 and up.

Exactly what I've been saying to all the over optimists here in this forum for months.

No way on earth the score will drop down to sub 450 or even come close to 400 as the so-called "CIC guy in the video" claimed.

And go to 17:43 for his nonsense claim that IRCC will finish ALL BACKLOG within 2016. 15:00 for his nonsense claim of average draw score was around 420-450.

Do we even know that guy was genuinely from IRCC, or just some random guy doing some advertising for a law firm? How can we trust him if he doesn't even know what he's talking about?
