Why do they make draws only on Wednesdays? What is so special about Wednesdays?
They have done draws on Monday, Friday and almost all days in the past. Wednesdays have been more consistent and although no one knows the internal working on IRCC, I can guess that they need time to prepare for the draw in the beginning of the week.

It will be thrilling yes but more chances? The chances are the same and would depend on the draw size and competition (new entries per day). They can do draws on any day but the year quota will remain the same.
By more chances i meant, if they do a draw today instead of Wednesday then those who will join the pool on Tuesday and Wednesday will not be in the draw of today and more people have a chance to get ITA than if they do it on Wednesday.

You will be through in May or latest by June. Good luck.
Thanksa I hope you are right. I wish they come up with some back to back draws that will bring my ITA and will make so many people like me happy as hell. If no back to back draws then we will have to wait eagerly for the score to go down ever so slowly.

back to back draw ll most probably wont be happening this year. So, the only hope we have is a transition of ita size from 3500 to 4000 from June onward and a slow influx of new candidates entering the pool and at least biweekly draws. If all of the above happens, everyone above 432's should be clear by August.

You kidding right? With 7500 people in 430s it will suddenly fall into 420s? Something earth shaking must happen in order for that to happen like significant drop in new entries or bi-weekly draws of 5000 each.
That's called being optimistic :p

Hello everyone. Have been a silent reader of this forum for several months now. Just hoping that this will be my lucky draw :)
welcome bro. I was also a silent member 12 days ago, but losing ITA broke both my heart and silence at the same time :p

Hey all, any one has an idea on what would IRCC check in the Medical examination? Like.. on what grounds would PR get rejected because of medical reasons?

The most common things that will result in a decision to deny entry are:

  • A serious illness that will be expensive to treat, like cancer. Once you’re a permanent resident, you will be entitled to use Canada’s health care system and they won’t let in anyone who will be an obvious burden on the system. Elderly relatives with a serious illness have to be left behind.
  • Serious infectious diseases also work against you. Tuberculosis is serious because it’s not widespread in Canada and is communicable. HIV/AIDS will probably also result in a fail both because it is transmissible and because it’s expensive to treat. Something like malaria probably won’t ruin your chances if it’s under control.
