I want to resubmit my profile so Ontario looks at me again, do I just withdraw and then submit or do I need to create a brand new one?
You do not need new account if that is what you are asking. Once you withdraw your profile it will still stay in your profile history. Than you can submit a new one (but it is fun to do the copy paste part).

I know you can take it upfront without ITA because I did it. I don't know about the location though. I think the location doesn't matter though.
I know that some doctors refuse to do it without ITA in your hand (I was asked to bring it for my medical).

It's so sad that people value their ita with so much negligence.
When many are craving for one, some do not know what they have in hand.
A few months back, maybe in roh 66 or so there was an applicant who declined ita thrice just bcoz of some silly family issues. Infact ita was the weapon used for family wars.
Now many in 435+ are preparing for TEF just to get the golden email.
God knows how ironic 2018 is.
I can feel the pain. I have seen people who try to claim points for which they are not eligible yet. Eg. claiming points for 1 year canadian exp which they don't have yet and they end up declining the ITA. I seriously don't understand what they gain from it.

Yes, it depends where you are. You gotta call them first and ask if they're willing to do an upfront medical exam.

Hi Guys,

For filling up the express entry application portal, in the travel history what should be the correct answer for the below case:

Travel taken to country X.

Flight flew from origin on the 19th, and arrived on the destination (country X) on 20th.

So while filling it up, should I choose 19th? Or 20th? for start of the trip

Thanks

I have too received NOI from Ontario.CRS: 435. NOC : 2173.
Date of profile re-submission : 26 Jan

Is there a separate blog to discuss proceedings after NOI?
When did you receive the invite? Per OINP post on last Thursday, they said they picked from Jan 1- jan25.

Hi,

Assuming I haven’t included my spouse in the EE application and I received my PR, will I be able to sponsor my spouse only after 6 months after I land in Canada?

Regards,
S
You can start the sponsorship process the day you land in Canada , but the process itself will take more than a year to complete.

The main challenge of LMIA in my experience, is time. It is difficult to convince an employer to wait for the LMIA to be processed ( lets say a month ), to fill in the paperwork and then wait an additional 90 days or more for your COPR. Most employers need somebody within a month or two at most.

I have had a few employers interested but it always falls apart at the LMIA stage. This is after meeting them discussing roles, etcetera. I am fortunate in that my work experience makes me quite employable internationally. But it is very difficult to convince an employer to wait that long.

I guess it is technically not impossible to get an LMIA, but certainly is not easy. I would imagine either knowing somebody willing to file the paperwork and wait ( relative or friend ) or be coming to do such a key role for an employer that they are happy to wait.

I am low 400s in score currently but hoping to increase this with another ECA, if this fails, I lose even more points at my next birthday, so am potentially heading out to work on a temporary work permit in Canada in a couple of months and hoping for either gaining points through a years employment in a years time under CEC, or alternatively being lucky enough for OINP, if they ever start issuing to low 400s.

Certainly try, but it is not going to be easy.
How can you get Temporary Work permit ?

Hello,

I have Indian PCC dated of 08/12/2017. My current CRS is 993 (after oinp) and expecting to get ITA on 21st Feb. Should I apply with that PCC or get a new one? I read somewhere that Indian PCC is valid for 6 months if you stay in the same country. Need suggestions
