Yes, it is not true.

But what do you mean they? Not only one person (or username)? Grieving? In what way?

Honestly, I still don't understand what, when, how it happened or who did it because no one wanted to talk about it, as if nothing happened (don't get me wrong here, I appreciate the well-wishes of this group and the friends who were there to comfort me). I only saw one screenshot of that death posting. I understand everybody was stressed with those news and we all got a lot on our plate as well but it tremendously affected my life. I am still shaking every time I remember it, I am afraid to step out of my house and I keep checking on my family back home. Although I also wanted to forget about it and move on, I keep coming back to this forum hoping to get more details, and finally, someone talked. Thank you for the information you shared. If you don't mind, can I send you a PM?
I saw at least two people post about your death. The first was by jaeger.m. These posts seem to have been deleted, but I still have a few snippets in my email notifications (I signed up to get email notifications of watched threads, and this forum sends the first unread message since I last viewed a thread) that I can paste here or PM to you if they also get deleted.

The next was a thread started by poisonfox. The first page of the post is still in Google's cache. View it ASAP if you want to read it, before it expires from the cache:

What do you mean by "flagpoling"? (last sentence of the 3rd paragraph of the letter)
Flagpoling is a term that describes the process of exiting Canada, being refused entry to the USA, and re-entering Canada to validate your new immigration status in Canada. For most individuals who are eligible to flagpole it is the preferred method to validate study permits, work permits and permanent residency.

Thank you dear trumprefugee,

Flagpoling is a procedure that a person who wants to obtain a post graduation work permit, after finishing of studies can go to the border, and return back from US and can apply for it. Instead of waiting for PGWP for several months, you can get it in a day.

That thread brought tears to my eyes when I read it. That poisonfox guy sounded sincere and like he was grieving. How despicable that he put on that act and spread false stories about you. :(

You can see some of jaeger.m's initial posts (quoted by others) starting here. Search for jaeger.m

Ray of Hope - 71st Draw!
Hi. This is my first post but I have been a long time silent reader of this forum. It has been recommended by a friend through his friend who is successful and is already on her way to Canada. She has received her ITA and I believe she is an active member here but unfortunately, I learned today she is in the hospital now.

My CRS is 414 and I am hoping to get an ITA soon or at least OINP to reopen.

Dear trumprefugee and iamxty,

Thank you for your wonderful insight and helping me refine my LOE. I was wondering in my LOE, should i be apologizing and ask for forgiveness in more explicit way? And I did call CIC call agent, few days ago as soon I realize my mistake. he said I will be forgiven. should I mention that in LOE as well, to show that I took action as soon i realize?

i can only mention that its not from la la land and you might not be able to guess it.

I will wait for @Lala1234 to answer it .

But It will put a smile and then may be a bigger smile on your face as you get nostalgic.
Can't wait! :D
@Lala1234 wake up! :p

It seems that the official website of Canada govt is misleading all of us by quoting such prices.
The amount needed for 2 people is 15312 CAD.

The website specifically did not say anything about "Toronto" per se. It only mentions -Canada

What they did not say is whether it's for one year or 6 months, still it is a huge sum to be paid to an agent / consultant.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp

You choose how to interpret things.
Thanks for you POV.

We r here to help others , help with best of our knowledge and not speculate on things.

Contrary to many people here, I've been to Canada and not just once. And why people use consultants and pay them such big bucks? I have no idea, seems irrational to me.

It is not just about work permit, it is about ANY document that can be obtained only by crossing the border. And people from Canada do it even when they have no US visas, so it upsets border folks.

Are you aware of their processing times? There are NS PNP threads here, people wait 12-18 months just to get nominated by NS. With ITA processing that would mean 2 years of waiting, and that is assuming you are lucky enough to submit your application. NS sounds nice: median home price is just 160k, no harsh winters, etc. But those 2 years...
Jon-son, my dear, you may also need to consider the waiting period for those with CRS below 350, or even those below 400 who have been in the pool since EE started. It is always better to have a good backup plan, that is, PNP. If you receive an ITA while waiting for the nomination, that will be great! :)

Is anyone interested in attending Canada job fair to be held in Paris and Brussels in November? I can share more information if you like. I'm planning to register my attendance hoping it would be good opportunity to socialise with future Canadians.
