@trumprefugee @Contactnisha , New Zealand is also worth a look. They're also looking to add a lot of skilled workers.
Thanks for the tip, @moose17. The points systems of Australia and especially New Zealand seem to be much more favorable to older immigrants (especially in my 40-44 age range) than Canada (I'm struggling so much in the Canadian points system due primarily to the large loss of points from being 40+). I really want to move to Toronto, but I will research New Zealand and Australia more. At least time is not as tight with either country, as I won't lose any points under either system until I turn 45.

For anyone else who needs a backup plan, here are some New Zealand links I'm bookmarking:

Thanks for the info @trumprefugee, I was thinking the same, if there's no progress with Canada till New Years we will consider other options. This waiting and whole pause thing is driving me crazy and desperate.

Anyone has a step by step guide like we have on this forum for Australia and/or NZ?? I want to check my options if I can get the minimum points there.

For Australia, you can check your points here:
https://www.border.gov.au/visas/supporting/Pages/skilled/the-points-table.aspx

For New Zealand, go to this page,
https://www.immigration.govt.nz/new-zealand-visas/apply-for-a-visa/about-visa/skilled-migrant-category-resident-visa
scroll down under The application process, click on the red Check criteria button, select your country of citizenship and location and whether you are including others on your application, and click on View. That will take you to a form to fill out to determine how many points you would have.

You get up to 15 extra points if you have work experience in a skills shortage occupation:
http://skillshortages.immigration.govt.nz/long-term-skill-shortage-list.pdf

You need at least 100 points to submit an EOI, but currently they are only selecting EOIs with 160 points or above.

Yeah, this delay in the reopening of OINP, as well as my devastating job rejections, have really been getting me down. I do think objectively that the chances are for the reopening of OINP before the end of the year, but this month's delay in updating the number of nominations left is also making me more nervous these days
http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/en/pnp/OI_PNP_PROCESSINGTIMES.html
I really really want to move to Toronto, but I am so antsy with this wait and have to keep my mind occupied with something interesting and soothing. On the positive side, both Australia and New Zealand have age brackets, so you don't have to worry about losing points on each birthday. New Zealand is the nicest with age, giving full points if you are between ages 20-39 and then the next bracket is 40-44. So there isn't the time pressure of making it before our next birthdays, so we can keep these options in the back of our minds for now.

Ok i got your point.

You just have to enter both the qualifications, lets say 1 diploma and 1 degree (separately) there is no double degree option in there, but attaching 2 degrees/diplomas/certificate you will have your 9 points.
Thank you for the update. I am just curious why it is not there as available on the crs calculator. So do i have to repeat d qualification to put the 2 diplomas?

Almost!
Well, I currently stand at only 135. I could go up to 155 if my MBA can be assessed at NZQF Level 9, but that sounds unlikely. I don't know why, but New Zealand seems not to like US degrees?? MDs and JDs (for doctors and lawyers) are normally assessed at master's degree level if not higher, but they only get NZQF Level 7 and MA gets NZQF Level 8, but MBA is not mentioned:
https://www.immigration.govt.nz/opsmanual/47119.htm
However, MBA and all other master's degrees received in Australia receive Level 9 :
https://www.immigration.govt.nz/opsmanual/46247.htm
Master's degrees from Canadian institutions also seem to get only Level 8, and medical degrees also Level 7:
https://www.immigration.govt.nz/opsmanual/47085.htm

Hello.

Because regular mail is my country is really bad, what I did was fill a courier address in USA, so that they forwarded it to me.
I'm sorry that you haven't received your documents from WES, but if you ask them to send them again, I recommend doing what I did, as they send it to USA really really fast.

As for CIC, they should have electronic access to your WES file, but I think they ask you to scan the original ECA you received phisically by mail, and not the PDF from the email. But I don't remember if I'm confusing that instruction with the instructions from OINP. So please, confirm that info.

But anyway, if you do what I tell you, maybe you should receive your original ECA way before you need to scan it.
For the EE just complete the info with the form number and you'll be good to go.

Regards.
Even I have not recieved physical copy,it has been more than 2months. Can somebody please verify if we need physical copy to be scanned and uploaded after ITA? Or soft copy would be enough?

The Internet is full of lies and deception, and I wish I never had access to the Internet. This forum has taught me life-lessons; to be very wary of the net.

Beware my friends, and don't fall into the online trap. I recall my good old days, sans mobile phones and Internet; it used to be healthier, safer and more social. The Internet and smartphones have taken over our lives, and we live in a Matrix now (literally).

I felt I must post a disclaimer here, from my recent experience. Enjoy your day!!
