Thank you :)

Also, I've posted this on the forum under a different topic, but no body answered yet. Maybe you may know the answer and could be able to help...

My NOC Is 4012 (Research Technician) Under NOC Category A. (For both jobs)
I worked for 2 different departments at the university (7 months and 5 months, respectively).
It says on the website that the work experience must be "in the same job". Do you think I could qualify under FSW? I had the work experience under technically 2 different jobs, but within the same institution and under the same NOC (4012).

By the way, I qualify for CEC for now, but after June, FSW could be my only option (If I am eligible, that is).
Make sure you have atleast one year of continuous work experience.

that was an old report. Yes, initially CRS points were very high, and typically people who are already living and working in canada (either on student visas- extension, spousal or someother types of visas) were given priority for Canadian PR. with that slot now taken care of, CRS rounds are more focused on outland candidates.

From June, registration for jobs bank will be an option. Probably since they launched another program called "Jobs canada - Emplois Canada". So yes, looking forward to the year end report

Hey, where did you get this info from about Jobs Canada??

exactly... there should be a vote on whether there will be a draw today or not...

my crystal ball says there will be a draw today... 3.6k applicants, 436 cut off...

Why is the score expected to decrease? This last drawing showed an increase, why would the anticipated drawing today/tomorrow go back down? In general, does anyone know what prediction/statistical models are used to derive these ITA thresholds? Clearly they must use data on immigrants relating characteristics (like age, advanced degree, prior work/educ in canada, years of experience, language ability, having relatives in Canada, etc.) to subsequent "success" in Canada. "Success" here is probably modeled as some multivariate construct that encompasses various dimensions like ability to secure jobs matching one's level of experience, level of assimilation, etc. With this data, a predictive model can be developed to produce an index that can be computed for, and used to rank potential immigrants. Then somehow a threshold for this index is defined based on things like the score distribution within the current EE pool and the number of people they intend to select for each round. Again, I'm just guessing here, but these ITAs are really not as arbitrary as we treat them here, clearly they're making these decisions using a set of rules, rules that aren't publicized but can more or less be inferred from the pattern of scores from past ITA drawings.

Here is the data that can be used for any prediction/modeling.

Draw No Draw date Number of invitations to apply issued Minimum CRS points required
Draw 49 December 16 1,936 497
Draw 50 December 22 2,878 475
Draw 51 January 4 2,902 468
Draw 52 January 11 3,334 459
Draw 53 January 25 3,508 453
Draw 54 February 8 3,664 447
Draw 55 February 22 3,611 441
Draw 56 March 1 3,884 434
Draw 57 March 24 3,749 441

A very interesting article saying that Q1 of 2017 has been the highest record of issuing ITAs.

http://www.cicnews.com/2017/04/express-entry-quarterly-review-number-itas-issued-skyrockets-049033.html

Q1 2015 - 6851 ITA
Q1 2016 - 9465 ITA
Q1 2017 - 24632 ITA

Definitely a positive outlook.

All the best for tonight's draw to everyone.

Give me a +1 if you liked this post.

Good morning people.

Seems like today is the day, no maintenance in CIC website yesterday, no draw last week, everything points to a draw today. :)

Also, Ahmed is in Ontario according to his last tweets, which is always a good sign. ;D

Yeah. I got that covered. I've got all my paystubs, and both of my former employers wrote that my job description falls under 4012 (NOC A). I also got a paper from human resources about how many hours a week I worked and how much I made, and they also put the dates of employment on there as well (I guess, it is some sort of an employment history/record).

Besides the IELTS Score, I think the application is ready to go.

I really hope that they will wait just 2 more days until the 7th...

- Stretching fingers for the next 3 hours - ::)

Anxiously waiting for the draw.
At the same time also applied for OINP and bound to get 15 points on June 6 making CRS total as 445.

Around 3 hours from now.
