I doubt that it will be easy for all intracompany transfers to get 50 points. CIC website mentions
workers transferred within a company (intra-company transferees with specialized knowledge) – only those that will benefit Canada with their skills and experience.
IT skills are already in abundance in Canada which CIC is aware of. So ideally they will not assist people with common skills.

Hi guys and girls, long time lurker here.
I think the best thing to do about this is to think logically.
– We know that the government wants to increase the number of immigrants, and we also know that they want to reduce the number of people coming over with low human capital scores (at least I am pretty sure this is the case).
– We also know that the CRS points rewarded have remained pretty much the same after the changes on 19th November, apart from a few more for students and the like.
– There has been a massive drop from 600 to 50 points for most job offers. It just wouldn't be possible to increase or even keep the number of invites the same if the points did not drop dramatically.

Sort of happy with the changes. Worked out better for me since I got 30 points which bumped by 518 to 548. Submitted by application this weekend. Hoping to land an ITA even in the worst case.
Hah, I know, but i believe 538 was the cutoff in a couple of draws in 2016? Plus as everyone said, on average wouldn't the cutoff rise by 15 points? But then again the LMIA points reducing would wash that out so who knows really. Draw 49 will be interesting.Br33zer said:518 wasn't that bad either :
wishfull thinking. According this, Canada is suppose to accept 84k application through EE in 2017. With the average rate of 2,2 persons per application - 170k appication through EE.JosephR said:

2. Only around 50% of that will go through EE, which is like 60k applicants. that is something around 30k applications. Which would point more to app. 1500 applicants per draw.

Yesss, the points dropped for job offers.. but what's the connection with number of invites?
Yes you are right with that question. Question at what point the applicant in counted to the immigration for that year. We have several moments:astralsource said:
1. Federal ITA
2. AOR
3. COPR issued
4. Landing
If we would count the last one. than indeed like half of the 2017 quota is already taken (assuming average time of 6 months for immigration after getting ITA).
We can also assume that year 2018 will be similar on quota to 2017.
From this assumption would 30k applicants make sense.
And also why they do measure the half year performance would also make sense here.
