There is no draw today, technical issue note is still up there on cic page

For all I know, that note can be there till His Kingdom Come......They are yet to change their name to IRCC on the official website, still CIC

Why do people keep saying there might be a draw on Friday? Is it just a speculation or there was actually a case int he past where the draw was on FRIDAY?? ::)

Just registered as a new user for the forum, refreshed this thread since morning (eastern time) and at last decided to join the discussion.

with 458 points, WP expiring in April 2017. (Will be extending work permit soon)
I'm wondering whether my extension can be considered as job offer for the extra 50 points?
Am eligible otherwise for 50 points i.e., in ICT working for same employer more than one year.

Stay optimistic everyone!

What's your NOC? Is it a full time job?

Hello everyone,

I know waiting sucks!! I am at 450, and hoping to get an ITA early next year.

I have a question though. I am an Emergency Physician NOC code 3112, and just joined a new job that is alternate night in a hospital, do you guys think it is a full-time job?

I have the required experience and already in the pool. Just going to update my profile for 'current work', and was wondering if alternate night is considere a full time job?

If it fullfills the standard weekly and yearly hours and salary then it should be. However you need to keep it at least 1 year to get points for it in the system.

This job wouldn't add any points until you finish both 52 weeks AND 1560 hours at it. Until then, including or excluding this job makes no difference to your CRS score and/or PR application.

Thank you.
Weekly it's 48 hours.
Actually, I am 6 months short of making my work experience 3 years (different workplaces, same NOC code), and before I get 25 more points added to my CRS of 450.
So, I'm guessing end of May I'll be at 475.

Indeed.

Last time I checked, the refugees that Canada brought here already stayed in safe refugee camps in Lebanon and Jordan, and don't tell me that it's a "Canadian thing" because the Conservatives government were not so keen on bringing 25k refugees at once here. I do realize that we should accept Syrian refugees, but not that big of a number. A year later, and the majority of them are still unemployed, some of them are even in waiting list for English classes.

True.

there is no such thing as a safe refugee camp... if you have visited one, you would know.

integration of refugees takes time... god knows what they have been through and have seen in their lives, most would be scarred for life

Bro, I was short by 1 month 10 days to complete my 2 years Canadian work experience but regardless of this fact I was only awarded points for 1 year. I did nothing but bangged my head because I'm not the only one it was my wife too same situation. Today I have 455 points and she have 439 points standings uncertain, don't know if canada would give us a second chance

anyone thinking of naming their children "Ray Hope " ?? LOL... been following this stupid thread for what seems like years now... when will my turn come ? sigh... ;D
