I have no interest in any political debates. However, I respect everyone's views.

I want ask about these things.

What will be the ray of hope if Conservatives government come into action in Canada?

One more thing. I am expecting ITA soon. If the new Government changes the policies, how will be the applicants treated who would have already received the ITA by that time?

Back to the predictions guys..! If there is a draw this coming Wednesday what would the cut off be ? Any chance they might increase the number of invitations ? I’m at 447, realistically when would I get an ita ??

To be very honest, chances are less for you this time. The prediction is, draw will be above 450 this time with 3350 invites. In next draw, you have a good chance to get ITA. Rest, lets see what surprises we have from CIC on March 20th. Fingers crossed!

Just wanted to share my story. Three years ago, when we started the whole process of CA at age 40, my score was 370, but I knew that was not everything. Tried all possible ways including SUV program, business stream, Atlantic pilot for NB and a hell a lot of other stuffs. Nothing worked out. Discussed with my employer for a transfer and landed here in Canada on work permit. With LMIA exempted ICT transfer, my score went to 420, but still no signs of light at the end of tunnel.

IELTS sucked me left to right for almost two years. For some reason, I never got 8777 and always ended up with one paper being 6.5. If all goes fine, I had other troubles like headphones not working or noise at outside the room (it was a hotel building), but I was determined that one day it will happen. I had started improving all papers with practice, except for writing. Subscribed to an online review teacher and started watching movies, reading novels day and night. After almost 20 attempts, I got that magic number 8/7/7.5/7. Now my score is 446, but holly molly, the target score is now >450. And my birthday is around the corner in two months!

Nevermind, looks like we are not done yet. Both I and my wife are gonna sit for ielts again, hoping to get another .5 in any of the papers. If she managed to get 7, then our score will go to 450 with me completing 3 years in Canada by then. Let's see !! Pray for us friends !!!

Admire the perseverance! Just out of curiosity, besides stability what other benefits of a PR make it more attractive than staying on a work permit?

Last July, I was looking at the CRS cut-offs, and thought to myself - 439 would give me a decent chance to get an ITA.
Now I wonder - what was I thinking!

Well, stability is the main reason. I have been moving around for last 20 years without any clear plan. You can be on WP only for a maximum of 5 years (for ICT) and you have to be out of country for one year before applying for another one. Besides, you cannot start any startups on WPs, which is my long term goal. And switching job is not possible on closed wp.

Do you think I will get ITA Before May for 445? if they keep 3350 draws and 2 weeks gap (Ideally 3900 draws).

I kinda regret that I didn't take the ITA in Jan 30, cuz my 2 years work experience finished in Mid February
Based on the current intake trends, on an average every 2 weeks 3350 applicants enter or increase their CRS to 445 and above.

Considering the high number of applicants already stuck in the 445-454 range, the decline in cut off would be frustratingly slow. So, you mostly won't get an ITA with CRS 445 before May if they continue with 3350 ITAs and 2 week gap draws.

If higher number of ITAs are issued OR if there is a 1 week gap draw, then ITA with CRS 445 before May is highly possible.
