I am a Canadian Citizen, currently residing in Canada and is sponsoring my wife to come here to Canada. My questions are as follows:

1. I did not keep my pay stubs for the past year and it says on the application that I should submit pay stubs preceeding 12 months of the application. What should I do?

2. While the sponsorship is in process, Can I visit my wife to her home country and wait for the papers to be approved and come to canada together?

Thank you in advance..

sincerely,
carlos

1. Phone Canada Revenue Agency and request an Option C it list everything you need.
2. As a Canadian you can.

I'm just curious where you're reading that you need to provide paystubs for the past 12 months - I only remember sponsors having to put a figure for their last 12 months' net income in one of the forms and provide CIC with an Option C print out for the most recent tax year. Spousal sponsorships are minimum income exempt, so you don't have to prove how much money you make.

Also, what PMM means in response to your question #2 is, if you are a Canadian citizen, you can travel outside of Canada while awaiting finalization of your wife's application for PR.

1. Refugee claimant in Canada, an interview will be required as to the bona fides of the relationship. As it is at Mississauga, you will probably wait a year or two for the interview. Normal where person has no status in Canada.
