Question about foreign work experience points in EE

Hi All,
I want to confirm about foreign work experience points in EE. It says on the cic website:

Your work experience must be:

at least one year (1,560 hours total / 30 hours per week), continuous full-time or an equal amount in part-time,
paid work (volunteer work, unpaid internships do not count),
1-in the same job,
2-within the last 10 years, and
3-at skill type 0, or skill levels A or B of the 2011 National Occupational Classification (NOC).

I'm a bit confused about 1. continuous and 2 in the same job points above.

I have experience in Education sector from 2012 to date- so that's 4 years
Then from 2008-2011 in Advertising as Manager - that's 3.5 years.
So if I'm correct I score points for 7.5 years?
The 2 jobs have a gap of 1 year and are in two separate fields. Does a gap make any difference?
Am i right?

You should have 1 yr of continuous work exp in your Primary NOC. Suppose you are teacher so you should be in a proffession of teacher for atleast 1 yr in last 10 yrs. You just cant continue like 5 months i am teacher 4 months i am manager 6 months i am engineer like this. In your case you have 1 yr or more exp on both your NOCs and overall you have 3 yrs or more exp so you will get max points for work exp on CRS.

Thanks. I have overall 7.5 years for both jobs not 3 years?
And the one year gap doesn't matter right?
