Sorry. I thought AOR was the time they received your application

No, is the acknowledge of receipt, but everybody is learning from this forum.
Don't need to apologize... now everybody is waiting together!

Hi @annie464. calendar days... the amount of days between the AOR and the PPR of those who has already received it! Dividing it by 30 is a little bit more than 9 months (9.24 months).
Taking the info from the profiles, you just do the math (I made a table in Excel) and the results so far (with the approved ones) is 277 days mean with +/- 4 days standard deviation.

I don't say that this amount of days will continue to be the same for others with AOR from different date (month-year). All I know that for those with the AOR from March-2016 looks like is "working" or "happening".
In your case, using this (I repeat could be different) your PPR date should be around August-2017.
Best wishes

thank u alemom

So according to your calculation, I will get PPR around Jan?

hmm, it seems, according to alemom's theory and calculation, you should have already got PPR sometime in October (if you obtained your AOR in January 2016 as indicated on your shared timeline)....

EDIT (correction): sorry khanhle, see 3 messages below, alemom pointed out my mistake: your AOR is indeed Mar 20, you should expect to obtain PPR (provided that alemom's theory is correct) around Dec 22.

we are getting very close, cheers!

I indeed have a minor question:
I am aware that those of us who are in-land applicants would have our VO either in Sydney (NS) or Ottawa.
Indeed, I wonder how could it be Ottawa? Shouldn't we all submit our application dossiers to Sydney office?
Then on all the email correspondences from CIC, the address printed on top, for me, always says Sydney office. (bcoz of this, I am q sure my VO is Sydney)...
If it is Ottawa, will it be explicitly mentioned in eCAS or myCIC or in an email notification that your file is transferred to that office at some point?

For example, @charlottemontreal (OT) received her PPR after 270 days (mar-25 to nov-24, day of her last post!)

Initially I thought it's a miscalculation (as mar 25 to nov 24, the difference is 245 days). But then I googled charlottemontreal here in the forum, I realized that her AOR date is indeed Feb 28. You are right! exactly 270 days after AOR she got PPR!

This really gives me some hope. It seems we are getting there (before Xmas -- it will not be just a dream!)

No, @khanle made a mistake in the dates. In the previous page pasted the info from ECAS and the AOR date is 20-Mar-2106, so the "PPR theory date " should be around 22-Dec-2016.
Regarding @charlottemontreal, I see you checked the profile... like I did. Yes, 270 days exactly! I wrote wrong the date because is the one that @charlottemontreal wrote in the post (but was from the Med's), but the calculation was correct using the profile AOR date.
So, just wait and see who else receives the PPR and verify if this "theory" has meaning!

oh yes! khanle's AOR is indeed Mar 20. (I just added an edit in my previous message.)
your theory makes a lot of sense here (though we will need more data to prove it).

Guys..
Just a little update...
I kept the tracking number of my passport return envelope, and I found that they posted the return package today at 5.25pm! hopefully I am gonna get it in a day or two.
So the summary is:
CIC received my passport on 7th Dec morning, so it took 4 business days to stamp the visa! Super fast! guess they are compensating the processing time now. :P

Lets see what happens. I'll keep u posted guys..

congracs n gud luck MR21

Hi alemom,
Just a quick question..
On my Ecas I see ...

We received your application on May 2 2016
We start processing your application on July 28 2016

So, my AOR is May 02 or July 28?
I know.. silly question but I'm confused right now..

Thanks a lot for your help.

Hi, in the ECAS you should have something like this:

We received your application for permanent residence on xxxxxx.
We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on Xxxxxx.
We started processing your application on Xxxxxxx.

The second one says "acknowledging" that will be the AOR (Acknowledge Of Receipt).
