Hi guys,

Thank you very much for your conversation! I have approximately the same dates as you in processing times for Quebec Selection Certificate Interview at New York and I calmed myself that I am not alone who is waiting.

I sent letter by fax in Montreal and I received today (by e-mail) the following answer:
Monsieur, vous allez recevoir la date exacte de votre entrevue seulement après les fêtes car la prochaine mission va être vers la fin de janvier 2011.
La personne qui s'occupe des entrevues va finaliser les dates en 2011.

So, I hope it will calm somebody too

yeah, i was expecting the same for coming January tht they will possibly call at this time, if tht wud happen then my case will take exactly 1 year of processing ... bonne chance tout le monde!!

my worry is that interview dates received say mid february will be in like july 2011! I hope it will be close - can interviews be as close as march or april? the Quebec process is long - i should have applied to Paris office not montreal i think the processing time is faster.

The process is really long - i think there is a surge of applications due to FSW tightening and UK immigration tightening channeling applications to Quebec. For me it will be 10 months total and additional 10-12 months for PR - thats what I call loooong.

Sir, you will receive the exact date of your interview just after Christmas because the next mission will be in late January 2011.
Caregiver interviews will finalize the dates for 2011.

let see they will send date in jan 2011 ( HNY)

Hey guys just an another update from my side n gud news is Finally today I got my interview date for 17th February 2011 at New York office , now I should also have to start preparing for my interview

Did they contact you by written mail or by phone call?

When did you apply?

Are you on priority list?

Was your file complete full with language test results before the interview invite?

cOnGrAtS!!! AND ALL THE BEST AND WORK HARD - stop listening to english and speaking english from today till interview date so you can tune your ears to french and also improve fluency.

In my case i got:

First AOR ( on 9th Feb 2010) - Acceptance of my File and issuing me File No.
Second AOR ( 10th June 2010) - My Interview will be at New York but my Number is on their waiting list for which later on they will
provide me a specific Date for interview which i didn't receive yet.
Third by e-mail ( 14th Dec 2010)- received Interview date from Montreal office.

I belong to IT/Computer field and i sent them basic french test details (upto DELF A1) and i believe my file was complete as they didn't demanded anymore/extra documents during the process. rest is upto god.

do you know if they always send 2nd AOR or can they skip that stage and call straight to interview.

Submitted ~April 2010 ending
First AOR = July 2010

Nothing since July.

Is it reasonable to expect an interview invite directly without second AOR? And where is the interview location in New York, do you know>

This is truly good news, you must be relieved for now. I am sure you will be do good in the interview.
However, since you applied from canada, maybe thats why you interviewdate came before ours.
A question, even if you are in canada you will need to come to new york for interview? cant they interview you in canada itself?

Chibiks I can't say exactly but I believe that second AOR is nt necessary all the time, if everything is fine with them like in providing any fixed dates then they can call u directly for an interview( sometimes can waive off ur interview as well ), So don't worry u will also hear from them soon, just keep patience n gud luck to u too

@ur question: no, not in quebec, All the applications they received from north America excluding Quebec they provide all to them their interview visa office in New York. Only those get call for inside Quebec interviews who live there e.g. Temp. Workers, students etc.
