Quebec Outland Applicants 2013 Thread / Timeline

Ugh, so annoyed. My MICC application was returned because I used the old amount from 2013 of $266 . 2014 as of Jan 1 is $269.

So I have to send it back to them with the correct payment. The good thing is that they stamped when it was originally received, so hopefully I won't start over from scratch!

Seriously? the F**king checklist said 266 when I downloaded it!!! And now it's 269!! Seriously!!
I just sent it to MICC this Wednesday.

each year they change the fee and luckly i noticed before sendg it..dont worry, micc is faster, u wil get the CSQ in 20days.

I'm under the impression that you can NOT change Visa Office. Check the processing time for Delhi. You might have completed your 6-month foreign work before the process has been completed.

If Delhi requires an interview, be prepared to return to India.

From my understanding, passport request is one of the last stages.

Hi...

* Use a reasonable exchange rate. I googled GBP/CAD and got 1.80.
* Correct. Some forms are NOT applicable for those intending to live in Quebec.

* Mention you live together in UK.
* All in ONE big envelope tracked by courier.
* We waited until we received all police checks before sending it in ONE big package.

Thanks for the advice. I have received the police certificate, filled in all the forms and am ready to submit. I just need the following information:

- Which address does the completed sponsor and principal application need to go to? The instructions for Part 1 (sponsorship) advices Mississauga Canada) but is this the right address for submitting both a sponsorship and main application forms together ? Especially since I am intending to apply outland via London , UK.

Hopefully when these are resolved I will be able to send the package this week.

Double-check what the application says.

But I think I sent the BIG FAT envelope to Mississauga which forwards it to the appropriate Visa Office. You can specify which one somewhere on IMM0008. In my case, I specified Sydney, AU and Mississauga forwarded it to that office.

One question: How long does it take to have the request for the passport?

if its this much faster for quebec residents then am planning to drop my short term foreign employment. i hav a doubt.!!.could u clarify it plz..?
my spouse (sponsor) is not working full time at present.she is doing partime,sat and sunday. do u think this will affect the processing, if cic ask regarding how the sponsor is going to support me once i reach canada..? this is one of the issues which forced me to take up the foreign employment.
is ur sponsor working..? or did ur sponsor hav to to show any kind of financial income to micc or cic? could u ans..

it takes two months for passport req.mine is delhi visa office. i filed documents to cic on 27th nov 2013, file transfer 3-jan 2014.pasport req 23 jan 2014..but still waiting for micc CSQ, filed on 15 jan 2014

It took 2 weeks for Sydney VO between receiving CSQ and asking to confirm passport details. Not sure how long your Visa Office will take.

I wouldn't drop the 6 month assignment just yet. Wait till you get your CSQ and then decide on the next step.
