But if you say no they ask you for the day when you going to apply for CSQ

You respond with, "no" and after you have completed that form and printed it out you handwrite, "Not Yet Applicable" for Q.7 (c).

Hi folks,

Has someone been adding all these timelines to a file? If so, is there a link?

Thanks.

Hello there fellow Quebecers,
Im in the beginning of the processing to sponsor my filipina wife to come in Quebec. Im a little bit confused on the process since we have to deal with 2 governmental departments. ???
I know that the first step is to send the sponsorship application to CIC-M. Does it have to include the visa application (IMM0008) of my wife or she will send that later? Elsewhere?
Is it better to fill both the forms in french? Hers and mine? I already filled the sponsorship form (IMM1344) in french and she filled her generic application (IMM0008) in english. Im french speaking so this is not a problem and I would not like our case to be delayed because the forms are not the same language. Nothing is sent yet.
I may come up with other questions later...
Thank you for your time.

Welcome Edgehead78.

You send the entire package to CIC - the sponsorship application, your wife's complete application, and everything that is listed in the checklist. You will note that there are some forms that you don't need to complete because you will be providing additional paperwork to Quebec. Once the first stage is completed you will (all going well) get conditional sponsorship approval. At this stage, CIC sends you a letter inviting you both to submit the forms to MICC for their sponsorship approval and approval of your wife's CSQ. While this is happening, CIC send your wife's application to the visa office that will be handling her side of things.
MICC then sends a copy of the CSQ to the visa office and CIC start processing your wife's application. The actual CSQ will be sent to you in Quebec.

If your wife is still in the Philippines I'd recommend that you get her to complete the forms for the CSQ in advance of the request. This way, you can have the QC applications ready to go as soon as you get the request.

The applications should be submitted in the language you are most comfortable with. If your wife is more competent in English than in French her application should be in English. It doesn't matter if the sponsorship application and principal applicants forms are in different languages. This won't affect processing times at all.

Yay! Congratulations! That was fast!!!
The next phase is just sit back and go along for the ride. It may not be a really long wait but CIC are not exactly predictable. Check your ecas once in a while (Fridays are a good day to check - if there has been an update to the application status it will show on a Friday) but keep in mind that ecas may or may not be updated. Once the application goes into process things could move very quickly. Hopefully, you will soon be posting here to say that you have had a passport request. :D

Thank you so much Catou.
Your provided information is very valuable.
We are finishing gathering the required documents and Im expecting to begin the process after holidays.
I guess I will include my name in the January 2014 outland applications thread.
Good day.

No I created this thread, but did not make a list/file...:(

Hi Catou,

Thanks!

Things are going quite fast! Before Xmas, we received an email from Sydney VO requesting the following info:

a) Please confirm your passport is ABCD1234.
b) Please complete Appendix B, which is about the applicant's biodata (height, hair colour, etc)

Is this the passport request phase? Nowhere in the email does it ask for the passport itself.

What does this mean?

Thanks. :)

Hi,

Filed my application yesterday, still not received by CIC.

quick question, even if the application is Quebec, once the PR is issued can you apply for jobs in any province, or only in Quebec?

Thanks!

Isidro

Hi...

Yes... As a Permanent Resident, you can live and work anywhere in Canada, including Nunavut if you wish :)

hi i am new to this forum

could anybody help me, my question is
1..my wife filed my sponsorship application to cic on nov 25th. we got our a decision made on sponsorship evaluation on 6th jan 2014 and they send a letter to my spouse's quebec adress. but i heard somwhr that once the descision is made they e mail the decision to the registered e mail id asking to submit micc forms. is there somthing wrong coz they sent letter. a bit tensed. in my case it took 45 days for the decision.
2..i am the applicant and i already filled my micc forms with nov 15th date.does it make any problem when she submit it to micc for csq bcoz the date on which i signed is 2013 nov 15. do i need to make a fresh form with fresh date to submit in jan 10th?

plz help

Hi...

1) We got a hard copy from MICC and no email. As long as you get something from MICC, it's ok.

2) My personal opinion is that your CSQ application should use the latest date (10-Jan).
