It should say on website, if not, you can call them. You can even call when it is almost due and they will give you answer on the phone (only MICC).

Good luck!

They are currently taking 25 working days although some people get their decision slightly faster. Watch for the fees to hit your credit card. Once MICC has charged your card you can expect to get a decision within two-three weeks. If it gets past 20 working days you, or your spouse, can call them if one of you is in Quebec, but be prepared for an exercise in frustration. We had to call - two hours on the phone and being passed to five different people. If you aren't fluent in French I wouldn't even bother.

Wow, can't believe I am even defending them, lolol, but whenever I call government agencies, I have not trouble getting an english-speaking person, including the MICC...It also depends on when you call during the day....Good luck to all!!

You've been luckier than us then ;) We've had three calls with MICC and each one has been a nightmare - and this is for the sponsor in QC that is francophone. One thing they were very good at was in calling us back with information. I don't recommend calling them unless its absolutely necessary.

Thanks... I'll keep an eye out for the credit card charge, which is my next milestone. In about a month from now it'll be Christmas so maybe they'll send us the CSQ as an early gift.. :D

Cheers...

Hi Catou,

If you don't mind my asking, how far along are you folks in your process? One of you from NZ, I guess? :)

The last time I checked the CIC website, it quotes the Sydney, AU office as 11 month for Stage 2. Do you know when Stage 2 starts for those applications with MICC?? Better question, has our application gone through even Stage 1??

Does anybody know??? :)

Thanks...

Hi all,

I'm filling form IMM5669 now and I get confused about questions 6)d and 6)e
"6. Have you,.., ever:
d) been refused refugee status, an immigrant or PR visa (including CSQ or application to the Provincial Nominee Program) or visit or temporary visa, to Canada or any other country?
e) been refused admission to, or order to leave, Canada or any other country?"

I applied for temporary visa to study in Canada in Dec 2011 and was refused.

So for 6)d its YES for me I guess
and 6)e NO? its kinda confusing because it repeats 6)d...

Also if your answer is YES, you have to provide details. So What details should I provide? Like the when the application was refused? Why?

I hope to hear from anybody who has experience with this. Thank you so much in advance!

Hi folks,

I just got an email from the Sydney Visa Office asking for a copy of my CSQ, which is still in-progress.

I'm confused.

The MICC website says that "The MICC’s decision will be transmitted directly to the Canadian Visa Office for the sponsored person’s country." I understand that as the MICC will forward the CSQ to the Visa Office, and not the applicant sending it.

Is the real procedure for the applicant to send the CSQ to the Visa Office and not the MICC?

Thanks...
