Hi,

I'll be landing in a few months and there is some confusion about if I can give *any* Canadian address for delivery of my PR cards when landing or only a Quebec address ?

Some places I've read any Canadian address is fine, some places it says Quebec has different rules and a Quebec address is a must etc.

I know I can give an address a few days after landing but that will delay the delivery of my PR cards and I want to have them as soon as possible as I will need to travel.

I'd appreciate if the members / friends could shed some light on this specifically for Quebec immigrants.

Thanks.

If you have been selected by Quebec, you must provide Quebec's address upon landing. Otherwise, your PR card will not be processed.

This check is put in place by immigration in order to validate your intention to settle and reside in Quebec as per conditions of your PR application. You must have signed Form IMM 0008 as part of your application and if you provide address other than Quebec's, CBSA officer may refuse your landing.

The best way is to give friend's or relative's address. If you don't know anyone in Quebec, best option is to get a UPS Mailbox in Quebec.

For UPS, they require 3 things

1) Fill and Sign their form (you can do it by asking them to email you)
2) Two Pieces of Photo ID (Can be your Passport and any photo ID in English issued in your country)
3) Any Canadian Address (yes! Any Canadian address)

Most of them provide 3 months, 6 months and 12 months package. I got my PR cards, driving license and Medical cards via UPS mailbox.
