Hey guys, I'm desperate honestly

I’m trying to get a sense of what’s happening with Quebec immigration right now. I live in Montreal, and I’m currently in Quebec on a post-graduate work permit that expires August 2026. I speak French at a high level, and I work as an intervenant psychosociale in a pediatric center.

I’ve been looking at ARRIMA and the Quebec skilled worker program, but I’m starting to worry about timelines given my permit expiry. I’ve even consulted immigration lawyers, and they’ve suggested that I might need to move to another province to increase my chances of obtaining permanent residency in time. (Haven't uploaded anything on Arrima yet) Was waiting as my current employer was considering taking over the financial costs of a lawyer to apply and help my chances but in the end they said they can't do it.

I’m curious:

Have people in Montreal or similar situations been getting invitations recently through ARRIMA?

Given my profile and timeline, is moving provinces actually a realistic / good idea?

What do people think is realistic for my chances if I stay in Quebec versus moving elsewhere?

I’d really appreciate any insight from people who’ve gone through this recently or are familiar with current Quebec selection trends.

Thanks in advance!

I've worked for over 2 years in a TEER 2 job in Quebec outside the Montreal region, have a C1 or C2 level in all French skills, and a (foreign) master's degree, and I'm still nowhere near the cutoff in the most recent rounds of invitations. I've given up on Quebec and have decided to apply through Express Entry and move to Ontario.
