Something such as a RATION CARD...something which specifies your family...family here means you your spouse(If applicable), kids(if applicable).

If your single then i don't think it is needed.

Enrolling into french course in AF is recommended although it is not necessary to appear for DELF or TEF...for DELF you will have to clear A1, A2, B1, B2....in that order...

Hope this helps

Dear all,

I have a query regarding migration to Quebec. I submitted an FSW in November 2006 and indicated that the province i would like to migrate to is Alberta. I am now tired of waiting and thinking that i would like to apply to Quebec which seems to be faster. Do you think this is possible? I took some french classes in 2007 and would be willing to refresh my french in order to qualify. I have taken the online evaluation and i qualify if i indicate that i have beginner french. My main worry is that because i have another application to FSW currently on-going (in which i've indicated that i would like to live in Alberta), kindly advise what you think my chances of being granted approval to CSW is?

All responses appreciated.

You can apply for QSW if you qualify. In the application however, it will ask you if you've ever applied for temporary stay or permanent residency in Canada. I'm not sure if it will have any implications on you getting selected by Quebec.

hello pgdm !

Actually TEFAQ is designed for quebec immigration. So it is best if you can score high. however DELF is also recongnized by quebec goverment. when we compare with exam fees then DELF exam is cheaper than any other exam so taking DELF exam is economic. In my country alliance frances start exam preparation class. may be you ask in alliance of your country. Hope they will prive that type of prepartion class. It will highly helpful for exam.

@ Satya: Thanks for the info bro.... i guess the second part is some kind of table which didnt come up quite well in the post.... will be great if you can summarize like which test and how many grades or score will give us what score in french for the process.... like for ielts its 6.5+ and 7+ in listening and speaking resp gives us 8 points .... whats the corresponding for the french points....

Amo, see the link below of someone who got CSQ while applying for another provincial nomination program. Hope this is helpful.

hello pgdbm
Its not 8 in english
listening 6.5 3
speaking 7 3
in french

DELF A1 1
DELF A2 3
B1 4
DELF B2 6
DELF C1 8
DELF C2 8

it is based on maximum 8. when it is calculated on 16 may be it is double.

But when I've applied on 2007, my IELTS score was just 5.5. speaking 5 and listening 5.5. and I had showed them a letter from my college stating that my all subjects are taught in english and I took all exam in english medium. then they gave me full points i.e 6 in english language. Is it possible now ?
