I applied for PR in March 2010, it is been al little more 23 months. I got an email asking me for updates (Changes and a new Police certificate) in 13 December 2011, today a employee from Canada's embassy in Beirut called me asking me to pick up the medicals and new photos and to pay "the Right of permanent resident fee".

Good News, I have been called by the Embassy (Lebanon) in order to go and collect the Medicals and in order to pay the Permanent residence fees.

The decision isn't final yet. They need to check my medicals and the security background of the application at this stage.

Passports Request ------- Visas Stamping

Dear All,

After many months of waiting, thought of sharing the good news with all of you:

Today, the 27th Feb 2012, an e-mail finaly has been received from Canada Embassy Abu Dhabi requesting us to send the passports for visas stamping, we have to be in QUEBEC before the 12th September 2012.

It says passports will be returned within 10 days!!!!!!!!!!!

Guys, I have 2 questions:

1- We are planing to land and come back to Qatar to close our open issues, jobs, sale of cars, bank accounts closure, etc....., How long to we need to stay in Quebec upon landing? our Brotehr in law is already there, let's say, can we stay after landing 10 days and provide his address to collect the RP & IDs?
2- In our applications, we have mentioned our intention to live in National Capital City, what if we go directly and reside in Montreal instead? is there any issue?

Meffff that's great news...good luck in ur new life dears....Viorica ur wife...is she romanian??? her name sounds soo...
About ur questions:
1. My sister in low was back from Montreal after 25 days, they left an adress of some cousins and they receivd there the cards
2. No problem, u ca live wherever u wish, wherever u find a good job,house..as long as u are in Quebec territory they have nothing to comment
