Hi,

We have a valid COPR approved before 18 March 2020, and we have plans to travel to Canada in September. We do have a proper quarantine plan.

However there is something we have a confusion about. We have a family friend whose neighbours are not going to be in Canada for three months and they are willing to offer us their place to live and quarantine for a month. Our query is that if we do not have an airbnb booking and we are staying at someone's place do we need to present a legal document or any proof of accommodation to the border services officer or not?

Has this not been answered a few times already ?

Simplest solution is to get an email from the owners of the place including the address, As long as you are contactable that is the main thing and have an address. Highly unlikely CBSA at the POE are going to check whether an address is valid or not.

Other than that easy to over think things but guess you can always try to contact CBSA
