Thanks Geochaddy. I submitted B1 scores with my application. It wasn't specified that I'm under priority when I received AOR. I assumed it based on the points awarded for AOT, but I think that all AORs look the same regardless of the profession and priority isn't mentioned there.

Thanks Janki. I receive all communication from them on behalf of my lawyer. That's why there's no delays. I'm sure that if I applied on my own I'd wait much more because of slow mailing service in my country. One of the reasons why I got it fast is the letter from the Order. Also, I did my MS in the US. If I did it at home I'm sure I'd wait more. My 58 points are with the following break-up: Age 16, Education 12, AOT 12, Work 4, English 5, French 8, funds 1.

Is your lawyer in Quebec?
Can I have his name and contact details. How much he charges?

I applied with a help of Dave Cohen. He's very good and his office is in Montreal. This forum is actually on his website canadavisa. All applicants are preliminary evaluated first before signing an agreement. Everything's on a case by case basis depending on applicant's profile.

Stylove, you can become a gambler in Quebec and forget nursing as well ! ;D No need to obtain a permit from Order though :)
I do have a scan of document. Since I applied with a help of lawyer I receive all communication from him. That's why I was notified two days later after CSQ was issued. The same case was with AOR and pending letter. If I applied on my own I'd wait forever because of the mailing service. I didn't even expect it so fast anyway :) Now by the time I finalize federal process I might face the lack of french proficiency :) The average processing time for fed is 17 months. I need to learn a very good french within this period. I registered for "francais en ligne" with a CSQ number, but feel that it's a little advanced for me at this point.
Today is a D-Day and let's keep fingers crossed!

Iev yeah our fists are all tight only to be released when we receive the ultimatum.

Can't lie to you guys, I have refreshed their(MICC) website on my pc until it doesn't accept to be refreshed any longer :P. I think Im'a go out for a beer.

Iev i was told one could do several things with the CSQ number like learning french as u said and also register in Emploi Quebec to get try to get an Online Placement for a job, meanwhile your federal file is in process, and on the condition that you are out of Quebec. Have you tried the latter?

Preferred Pls don't give me that type of punishment as I learnt the climate out there is freezing hell!!!

Will always try to keep in touch, no matter my new tight work schedule.

Kudos 8)

That's right buddy. I already registered for placement by Emploi Quebec and for french learning as well. The problem is that you already need a good level just to start it out. My current french with B1 in Tefaq is insufficient for that. I'm gonna start Alliance Francais course in a month and hope that it will help in addition to this online learning.

Thanks. Your AOR will indicate that you met a minimum threshold o points to open the case. After that your file will be evaluated in details with two outcomes: 1) If you have 55+ points then CSQ is issued 2) If you're within 49 to 54 range you'll be called for an interview

Hi,

My wife and I have submitted CSQ applications and docs to MICC office on 29th July'13. My English Language score is 5 (Speaking : 8.0,Listening : 7.5) and total score is 56 points (out of 57) without french language.

We are awaiting for DELF A1 result which will be announce on 10th Aug. I have sent an official letter, which I received from course Director ( Alliance francaise de Bangalore), along with the docs.

Will they accept or hold our file? How long will it take to get AOR from them?

Appreciate your help

regards,
deb
