Just now couple of days ago, new update came that Quebec is changing its rules for skilled workers from August 1, 2013 from that day on, minimum French level required is Intermediate Advanced Level, i guess it means B1 level (confirm please) and 2 points for Written French BUT still it's the half info. We have to wait and see how the New Area of Training list looks like, whether it has current occupation or not. What is the new points requirement. So if you are ready to apply and you are eligible today to apply for Quebec Skilled Worker Immigration then apply before 31 July 2013 and try that your application reaches there b4 31st July. Alors, bonne chance a tous...

Cindy if you meet the minimum cut off points you can go for yourself and add your spouse after. One doesn't know what the new list might look like so i think a bird in hand is worth 10 in the bush

Intermediate advanced should be B2. No written module in TCFQ for example so either they will include written module or TCF only will be taken if someone needs those 2 points

hello stylove, if she chose to apply ahead without his spouse, when and how many months would she wait until she can add him to her application?

Firstly, she should mention in her appl that she has a spouse, but who will not be accompanying her to Quebec.

Secondly, then when you have your PR you can then file for him.

Cindy I understand what you are saying, but you should know that only Tough people take Tough steps to achieve Tough things!!

I was thinking that if you guys are still planning to get married, then you should get married just immediately after the date you send in your application, so that once you get your AOR, you can then ADD SPOUSE to your file, that way you arrive Quebec at the same time.

Isn't it a good idea Cindy?

yes it was, stylove..
but i can not get married because i do have an ongoing petition from my mother in the U.S.A,,by which she filed me as a single child... We all know that US petition is quite a long wait but it will break my mother's heart if I will take her petition for granted...
that is why,, we are applying QSWP under common-law status but i think we can not submit our documents now due to my partner's delay release of NBI..
it would be a great decision to be made... im really out of time.. :(
