so what next :o

1. paper screening still pending
2. verification is going on for In process with date application
3. Meds/PPTS/RNRF may in next BFD

what was PSDEC=1 SELDEC=1 all about and points > 67 and VO satisfied etc. etc.

Dear nano,

agreed ..

What does CAIPS result means !! as Lokoloko asked to Qorax and addition to that Points calculated based on ?

Dear Qorax,

You may be right but almost all of us (NDVO prejune with processing dates) who got our CAIPS have seen that our files and all updated information is forwarded to ECU and the lines mentioned exactly as:
ECU- PLS REQUEST THE FOLLOWING:
MED
PPT
RPRF

To me it seems that NDVO is now forwarding all the info to the ECU and if the ECU dept finds everything in order then it will issue Med/PPT/RPRF request to the applicant.

Looks like a relay race....one dept finishes its works and hands over the baton to the next dept and so on till it reaches the finish line. It seems like now the Security check info are directly send to CBSA where further processing and finalization happens and the request for Med etc are issued.

Dear,

Have you ordered CAIPS/GCMS?
Paper Screening is 1st step of the 'In-process'
You still have BDEC(security decision), OREQ(Other requirement), MEDDEC(Medical decision) and than FINDEC(final decision).

I think BDEC shall be cleared by ECU/CBSA.
After security clearance we shall receive medicals from them.

Don't know the procedure earlier but it seemed to me that previously security and medical clearance were done simultaneously, but now they are done one after the other.

good guess !! there you are +1 for you ..

clear some of the doubt related to In process with date application waiting for medicals !!

current status may be like for all Inprocess with Date applicant

PSDEC - completed
SELDEC - completed ( >67 Marks )
BDEC - currently under process by ECU/CBSA
OREQ - May req for some applicant
MEDDEC - Pending
FINDEC - Pending

+1 for u and nano (have to wait 168 hours)
now we may say that the riddle is solved.
All is well when the end is well
best of luck for speedy security clearance, then medicals.........and then hopefully visa

Yes, I believe that's what is going on as I have already mentioned in my previous post. I have a feeling that as a part of UPDATION of CIC functionalities, this marriage of ECU/CBSA has just recently kicked in and thus taking time in adjusting itself (agree with you).

Anyways.......you deserve +1 :)

Then how can we compare this with MI-3 applications.... There is no delay whatsoever (processed just like our felow applicants before June-2010). Do they not follow the same steps in MI-3 ?

I got my AOR in July 2010. And it is mentioned in the CAIPS that "AOR sent to the applicant on XX/XX/XXXX and file forwarded to ECU"
Means this practice of forwarding files to ECU was going on way back in 2010 (when we were not in the backlog, but were hoping to get the visas within few months)

1. MI-3 are in priority, so they are cleared first.
2. GCMS was implemented in 2010(if I am not mistaken).

But we should not forget that for MI-3 & 2, their paper screening is already done at the CIO stage. so maybe where as for us it is done now.

What I feel is that all the files now go through ECU(Pre and Post June)

Its sad to see that Qorax is missing from this thread. He had chosen to ignore this thread completely which was specifically created for his opinion. Wish he comes back and give us valuable suggestions and advise us.

Also the "delay" seems to be only for NDVO Pre-June applicants, look at the Manila Pre-June thread, they are getting medicals pretty soon after processing begins. My guess is it is all due to the quota and inventory at NDVO.

Dear nano,

again i confused

"But we should not forget that for MI-3 & 2, their paper screening is already done at the CIO stage. so maybe where as for us it is done now."

as per CAIPS of some pre june Applicant - PSDEC = 1 completed

i think ECU only for BDEC
